January 1, Netanyahu Backs Trump, Blasts Media Lies
Wyatt’s Take
- Netanyahu says the U.S.-Israel alliance is stronger than ever.
- He warns about propaganda and urges the truth about hostages and aid.
- He praises President Trump for decisive action in the Middle East.
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu says his nation stands firm with President Trump and America. He worries about lies and media bias that twist the facts about Israel’s fight against Hamas.
Netanyahu told reporters that misinformation spreads on social media and in news coverage, making it harder for outsiders to see the real struggles in Israel and Gaza. He believes freedom depends on facing the truth, not propaganda.
He made clear Israel’s only deal is for all hostages to be released. “We’re considering anything that will get 50 hostages, at least 20 alive ones and up to 30 dead ones, back,” Netanyahu said.
The Prime Minister said that since Hamas’ October 7th attack, 205 hostages have returned home but others are still suffering. “The only policy of deliberate starvation in Gaza, contrary to the lies that are spread against Israel, is that the Hamas murderers starve our hostages,” Netanyahu said.
He noted that Israel has sent over two million tons of aid to Gaza, trying to help civilians, but Hamas blocks supplies from reaching the hostages.
Netanyahu scolded Hamas for hiding behind civilians. They set up shop near hospitals and schools, making it even more dangerous for innocent people in Gaza.
He laid out a plan to wipe out Hamas, starting with getting civilians to safety. He said the group must surrender or face force. “Lay down your weapons or we’ll go after you,” he warned.
Back in June, the U.S. joined Israel in striking nuclear sites in Iran. Netanyahu thanked Trump for using powerful bunker-buster bombs to hit buried targets. President Trump called both men “wartime heroes” for that mission. “That’s very kind of him,” Netanyahu replied.
The prime minister said Trump is “extraordinary” for ignoring critics and standing strong with Israel. “All free people should thank President Trump for his leadership,” Netanyahu said.
Netanyahu pointed to a long history of propaganda against the Jewish people. He mentioned rising anti-Israel talk on U.S. campuses, saying it really shows anti-American attitudes. “They don’t hate America because of Israel, they hate Israel because of America, since we represent America’s best ally right in the heart of the Middle East,” he explained.
He urged Americans not to trust distorted or false reporting, and to stand with those who value freedom and truth.
