January 1, Minneapolis Mayoral Race Heats Up with Unlikely Candidate
Something big is happening up in Minneapolis, folks. There’s this fellow, Omar Fateh, who’s looking to become the next mayor. Now, he’s not your regular candidate. He’s a Somali American who calls himself a democratic socialist, and he’s got some unusual plans for the city.
Fateh wants Minneapolis to resist Donald Trump and become a “safe haven” for transgender surgeries. He’s got ideas like cracking down on police and making sure the city stays a sanctuary for illegal immigrants and things like abortions and transgender healthcare. And he’s planning to spend a lot of taxpayer money to do it.
This man doesn’t like the police much at all. He’s known for criticizing them since the George Floyd riots in 2020. Instead of police, Fateh wants to send non-police people to handle almost half of the 911 calls and have more control over the police department with something called a Civil Rights Department.
He even wants to stop the police from working with ICE. He says our residents need a mayor who will stand up to Trump.
Fateh wants to freeze rents and build more cheap housing, especially for groups he says are at risk. And he plans to bump up the city’s minimum wage to $20 by 2028. To pay for it all, he’s thinking about starting a city income tax to make the wealthy pay more.
He’s been in some hot water before. Just last year, he had a Senate ethics investigation when he tried to send a lot of taxpayer dollars to a Somali news outlet that was backing him. Plus, he got in trouble for saying not-so-nice things about white Republican senators.
Fateh is the first Muslim and Somali American in the Minnesota Senate, and now he’s aiming for mayor. The local Democratic Party just gave him their backing over the current mayor, Jacob Frey.
Frey, who’s dealt with the riots and had some issues with Black Lives Matter activists, wasn’t too happy about losing that support and is challenging it. There’s a lot at stake, as this race could end up like what’s happening in New York, where another democrat socialist candidate is leading in the polls. Both cities have their elections coming up on November 4th.
It sure seems like things could change a lot up in Minneapolis if Fateh becomes mayor. Stay tuned, folks!

In Minneapolis, there’s someone who wants to do things differently. This candidate, Omar Fateh, has ideas that might surprise some people. Fateh believes in making Minneapolis a “safe haven” where everyone has access to things like transgender healthcare and being protected from big decisions made by people like Donald Trump. He thinks the city should help those who might be scared to ask for help, like immigrants who don’t have all their papers or people needing a place for important medical procedures.
Fateh is not keen on the way the police work right now. Instead of just relying on police for everything, he wants to have other trained people respond to many 911 calls. This could mean having folks who are really good at solving problems and calming situations do the work police usually do. He also wants to make sure the police aren’t helping ICE when they come looking for immigrants. Fateh talks about creating a city where everyone feels safe and looked after, no matter who they are or where they come from.
Helping families find affordable places to live is also a big part of Fateh’s plan. He thinks freezing rents and building more affordable housing will help make life better for many families. Plus, he wants to make sure people doing hard jobs get paid more fairly, aiming for a higher minimum wage by 2028. To help pay for these changes, he’s looking at having wealthier people contribute more taxes. He’s had some bumps before, like a big investigation, but he’s still pushing for what he believes is right for the city. With the election coming soon, people in Minneapolis have big choices to make about their future.

If voters in Minneapolis, NYC, or any other city are so ignorant of world history that they don’t know that socialism is the opposite of the kinds of freedom on which our country was founded, they will be the ruination of their cities and a cancer in our beloved nation. The recent rise in acceptance of these extreme candidates is evidence that children have for years been–and continue to be–poisoned by public-school curricula. These curricula too often fail to include instruction in our Constitution, instead using instructional time to indoctrinate children with the ignorant, anti-Constitutional, and often immoral, agendas of the political Left.

This ‘Fateh’ creature is a ‘dyed-in-the-wool’ enemy, foreign reactionary. The Democratic party, to even ‘think’ of endorsing this vile Muslim, is a treasonous organization. It would be one thing if this ‘Omar’ really did implement or run some policy on ‘his’ beloved socialist goals but he is a Somali…Muslim brotherhood is in his ring. My god, a Civil War is definitely in this country’s future.

This is part of the Muslim playbook to make America into a Muslim country. They are the enemy within. These Somali people are Obamas “gift”, as he imported them and settled them in one by place so elections there could assure a Muslim winner. This is why Omar gets reelected to Congress. I fear for our country.

I was going to comment almost the same thing you did. If you look around the country, there are so many Muslim and Hispanic politicians lately that I have to wonder where the white politicians are hiding. It sounds racist to say that but it is nothing more than an observation of what’s really happening. Kruschev’s most infamous words of “we will bury you” but it isn’t what his dream turned out to be. This was the dream of the Middle East…..to destroy America from within. It’s happening and no one seems to care enough to stop it. Decades of destroying the educational process in public schools have left generations only expecting the government to control their life without the freedoms of former generations and the freedoms left slowly disappearing each decade. Those trying to “take over” are not socialist Democrats but Fascists and Marxists, whether people want to believe it or not. They follow Alinsky and/or Cloward-Pivens, not the Constitution. They believe the Constitution is a piece of paper that is ancient history that should no longer exist. OK, I’ll shut up now. 🙂

Socialism, in theory, represents a Utopian society. Many of our young voters have been exposed to this mythic version of Socialism. We must emphasize to our youth that it is just that – a myth. History proves Socialism in practice does not work, has never worked, and never will work. The few countries that are held up as examples of how Socialism works have socialized one or two portions of government, usually health care, and kept some form of democratic government for everything else.

If socialism worked why would anyone break the law to come to America? Once here enjoy the freedom you have and make your dreams a reality instead of trying to change our way of life. Love our flag, take advantage of everything you can to get your citizenship and educate yourself and your family so you can thrive here. It really is the best least racist country in the world ever! I agree and send him and Omar back to Somali. One way. Besides she lied to get citizenship. Strip hers away. Send all Muslim people back to their countries. They can stay there. This is our country not theirs.

More angering and frightening, *CAROLYN POWELL * is that this ‘Omar’ (not even a Somalian traditional name—-its ARABIC!), is running with an anti- cop rhetoric as well as he sounds like a full-blown anti-white/disenfranchisement type of foreigner. This radical is only representative of chaos, violence, distrust and vilification of ‘skin-color.’ All part of the Cloward-Pivan plan. American citizens really need to familiarize themselves with the Socialist/ Reactionary stench being pushed into our country.
