January 1, Media Hoaxes Exposed Undermining Trust

Wyatt’s Take

  • Media ran with wild stories and misleading claims all year.
  • Credibility among everyday Americans hit rock bottom.
  • Biggest hoaxes targeted Trump, Musk, Hegseth, and hid Biden’s decline.

The mainstream media kept pushing far-fetched claims, leaving Americans questioning what’s real. Their trust with the public is at an all-time low, and it’s not hard to see why.

Networks framed everyday events as scandals, played defense for political favorites, and tried to hide vital truths like Biden’s health issues or border threats.

After President Trump took office again, the media spread falsehoods about Elon Musk, twisting a gesture at a celebration into something sinister. Outlets accused him of giving a “fascist salute” when he only thanked supporters.

Pete Hegseth, tapped for the Pentagon, faced nonstop anonymous smears and phony stories meant to block his confirmation. Even after he got the job, critics cooked up fake controversies to try to boot him.

For years, media outlets denied any problems with Joe Biden’s mental state and even hid warnings. Only after he left office did those same faces admit what regular folks saw all along — and then tried to sell books on it.

When Trump’s team deported an illegal MS-13 gang member, reporters didn’t tell the whole story. Headlines instead called him a “Maryland man” and painted law enforcement as the villain, leaving out key details about his crimes and status.

The Russiagate scandal got swept under the rug this year, too. After declassified documents confirmed Obama-era officials used shaky evidence against Trump, coverage went quiet. Honest reporting about the real story never made it into their headlines.

The bottom line: these hoaxes show how out of touch legacy media is with hard-working Americans who just want the truth, not spin.

Don’t let media elites tell you what to think—see the facts for yourself.

Wyatt Matters

This all matters because folks in the heartland depend on honest news, not manipulation. When media lose sight of everyday values and start covering for the powerful, America’s trust suffers most.
