A new video has come out showing what are likely the Louvre thieves in action during Sunday’s daring daytime robbery.

Footage from an anonymous bystander shows someone in a bright yellow jacket next to a display case in the Apollo Gallery, once home to royal treasures.

According to French authorities, the criminals used a basket lift and forced open a window shortly after the museum opened in the morning.

Around 9:30 a.m., they broke in and targeted jewels from Napoleon III’s court and Empress Eugénie’s collection.

“They breached through a window and made this really brazen. These guys are fast and moving quickly with a purpose, and they breach, and they get in there really quickly,” former FBI Art Crime expert Tim Carpenter said.

France’s Interior Minister confirmed the use of a basket lift and a disc cutter to access the valuable cases.

The Ministry stated a full list of what was stolen is underway, and the items lost have huge historical value.

The Louvre stayed closed Monday as police searched for clues and studied footage.
