January 1, Iran Blames Israel Claims Protest Crackdown Victory

Wyatt’s Take

  • Iran’s leaders say recent protests were a foreign plot, not homegrown rage.
  • They claim outside enemies are to blame for violence and unrest.
  • Yet outside observers point to the regime itself as the cause of bloodshed.

Iran’s foreign minister says Israel organized terror groups to spark the massive street protests and violence that swept his country. He said the regime fought terrorists, not protesters, in a hard showdown that lasted three days.

Araghchi blamed the violence on “Daesh-style” terror tactics, insisting that ordinary Iranians were not the enemy. He claimed Israel and outside powers wanted to raise the death toll to trigger U.S. action, saying, “Their goal was to draw the United States into the conflict.”

The regime claims it’s now back in control and that only foreign meddling could stir up more chaos. The head of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard agreed, blasting America and Israel for supposedly using “Daesh-style mercenaries” to threaten the Islamic Republic.

Another top general accused President Trump and Israeli leader Netanyahu of plotting the violence and called the Iranian forces “ready to respond” to any outside threat. Iran’s security council chief kept up the attacks, naming Trump and Netanyahu as “the main killers of the people of Iran.”

International groups see it differently, saying most of the dead are Iranian civilians killed by their own government, not foreign agents. Reports put the death toll between 2,400 and more than 20,000, with Iran’s internet blackouts making the real numbers hard to check.

Recent accounts show protests are dying down, but only after bloody repression and harsh crackdowns. Iranian officials now tell their allies the situation is “stable.”

Middle America knows the truth matters. When foreign dictators try blaming outsiders for their own messes, it should make us all pay attention—and stand with people who want freedom and real change.

We all know the truth. The Iranian people want their freedoms back. I support hitting Iran, and hitting it hard. We know where their bunkers are..hit them already and set these people free.
