Wyatt’s Take

  • Law enforcement caught 120 illegal immigrants in Oklahoma, 91 had commercial driver’s licenses.
  • Most licenses came from California, New York, and Pennsylvania.
  • ICE says joint federal-state action is needed for safer roads.

Law enforcement in Oklahoma teamed up with ICE and arrested 120 illegal immigrants last September. Most of them had licenses that let them drive big trucks.

Police stopped cars and trucks along I-40 and checked people’s records with help from ICE. The agencies wanted to stop crime and keep the public safe.

ICE found that 91 of those arrested were operating commercial vehicles. Many of them got their licenses in California, New York, Pennsylvania, Illinois, and New Jersey.

Some arrested were found driving passenger cars, while two came from a marijuana grow operation. Many already had convictions for things like DUIs, illegal reentry, and money crimes.

A lot of those with commercial licenses had entered the country illegally, were waiting for asylum, or had a pending immigration hearing. The countries with the most illegal drivers caught were India, Uzbekistan, and China.

Of the illegal immigrants arrested without truck licenses, most came from Mexico and Guatemala. Some entered the country in the last few years.

“ICE’s 287(g) program clearly demonstrates how federal and local law enforcement agencies can work together to make America safe again,” ICE Deputy Director Madison Sheahan said.

“Illegal aliens have no business operating 18-wheelers on America’s highways. Our roads are now safer with these illegal aliens no longer behind the wheel. We encourage more state and local law enforcement to sign 287(g) agreements to help remove public safety threats and receive reimbursement funds available to our law enforcement partners.”

Stay alert—law enforcement and communities need to work together to keep our roads and towns safe for everyone.

Wyatt Matters

Law and order protect everyday folks trying to make an honest living. When illegal drivers get truck licenses, it puts everyone at risk. Working together, we can stand up for community safety and hold the line for American values.

California, New York, Pennsylvania, Illinois, and New Jersey. Wow what a surprise! Not. These are POS states with POS government employees and POS elected officials. Illegals with commercial driver’s license. This speaks for itself with regard to my POS adjectives. Rotten, corrupt, racist, no respect for the law and the public or else they would not be selling these licenses. Kickbacks is what these trash employees are getting.
