Wyatt’s Take

  • Some in the sex trade are arming themselves, blaming ICE activity.
  • Fear of violence and crime is changing how these workers protect themselves.
  • This shift shows rising anxiety in America’s cities over safety and the law.

People now hear the term “sex workers” a lot more, describing folks from prostitutes to online performers.

“You know, the people who put themselves out there for creepy dudes and end up at murder scenes more often than most other groups.”

Due to concerns about crime and threats on the job, some in this line of work are starting to carry guns after dealing with riskier conditions.

They say recent ICE enforcement has made their lives more unpredictable, and armed protection is one way they’re responding to danger on the streets.

As government action stirs up fear, everyday folks will do what it takes to keep safe, whether you’d expect it or not.

All Americans should own a gun and learn how to use it. The state laws are ridiculous in places like nys- 6 month wait for gun permit- why do we need gun permits? So the govt can track and trace us!

“As government action stirs up fear, everyday folks will do what it takes to keep safe.” It is my opinion, after considerable research on my own (I distrust most news sources across the political spectrum), that “everyday folks” are not being stirred up by government actions. Rather, they are frightened by the obvious contempt for the law exhibited by so many “peaceful protesters”. ICE officers are carrying out the dangerous jobs they have sworn to do and the only people at increased risk as a result are those who are in the country illegally, and those who support their “rights” over those of law-abiding citizens.
