January 1, ICE Facility Attack Tied To Left-Wing Rage
Wyatt’s Take

- Shooter’s mom blamed Second Amendment, targeted GOP in rants
The shooter behind the deadly ICE facility attack in Dallas had a history shaped by left-wing views at home and odd jobs, but little outward politics, according to relatives.
Police say Joshua Jahn, 29, fired into the ICE detention center Wednesday, killing one illegal immigrant detainee and hurting two others before ending his own life.
This morning just before 7am local time, an individual fired multiple rounds at a Dallas, Texas ICE facility, killing one, wounding several others, before taking his own life. FBI, DHS, ATF are on the ground with Dallas PD and state authorities.

The FBI confirmed the gunman left behind bullet casings marked with “ANTI-ICE,” calling it proof of an “ideological motive.” The feds, plus state and city police, are still reviewing details.
Joshua’s brother, Noah, told reporters he didn’t see politics driving his sibling.
“He didn’t have strong feelings about ICE as far as I knew,” Noah said.
He recalled Joshua as neither a marksman nor a gun enthusiast, but said he knew how to use the family’s firearms.
The shooter had lost his job, was planning to move home, and had worked on solar panels and marijuana farms before.
Photos after the shooting show punctured windows and bullet holes at the Dallas detention center.
His mother, Sharon, regularly went after Texas Republicans on social media—targeting Governor Abbott, Senators Cornyn, and Cruz for supporting gun rights.
“How does it make you feel that your action to open up gun laws is responsible for the killing of 21 more people?” she wrote in one post.
She accused lawmakers of being “cowards” and spoke against the NRA in several rants.
The attack is the latest in a wave of left-driven violence, following the murder of Charlie Kirk and the conviction of Trump’s would-be assassin.
Other radical groups, like the Socialist Rifle Association, have stirred up unrest in the region recently.
Middle America can’t ignore the rising threat when politics turns to violence, especially when those in power downplay attacks close to home. Stay alert for more honest reporting from our team.
