  • The shooting sparked protests and fierce attacks on immigration enforcement.

White House border official Tom Homan says that immigration officer Jonathan Ross has gone into hiding with his family after getting threatened following the shooting death of activist Renee Good.

Homan explained that the officer’s family has faced danger ever since last week’s incident, and Ross is staying hidden until the investigation wraps up. Ross may sue for defamation once the facts come out.

“I think he’s going to, you know, wait for this investigation to play itself out and wait for them to come out with actual facts, what happened,” Homan said. “Then, I think you may see him take action because I know for a fact, you know, now he has to be in hiding.”

When asked by Will Cain if Ross was truly in hiding, Homan replied, “Yes, for the safety of him and his family.”

Threats have gotten so serious that wanted posters with Ross’s face and license plate have popped up. Neighbors even saw people packing boxes at his home. Some locals say they’re leaving for a few days to avoid the uproar.

Ross shot and killed Good after she blocked a street with her car and refused officers’ orders. She backed up and then moved toward Ross, bumping him, which led to the fatal shooting.

The event brought fresh attacks on President Trump’s immigration agenda. Minnesota’s governor, Tim Walz, even warned about a “civil war” and compared immigration agents to Nazi forces.

Protests have grown rowdy, with some marchers calling for violence against ICE agents and Trump allies.
