January 1, “I Shot That B*** Dead”: 6-Year-Old Bragged About Shooting His Teacher

Published

on

In a chilling incident that took place at Richneck Elementary School in Newport News, a six-year-old student allegedly bragged about shooting his first-grade teacher, Abby Zwerner.

This troubling event has since sparked outrage and further debate on the safety of schools and the importance of parental responsibility.

New documents that have come to light share the unsettling details of this tragedy.

After shooting Zwerner in her hand and chest, the young boy was restrained by a reading specialist at the school.

It was during this time that the boy chillingly declared, “I did it.”

He went on to admit, “I got my mom’s gun last night,” and, in a chilling boast, said, “I shot that b**** dead,” according to WTKR-TV.

Zwerner was fortunate to have survived the attack, though she underwent multiple surgeries to recover from the injuries.

In response to this terrifying event, she has since filed a $40 million lawsuit against the Newport News school system.

The crux of her lawsuit? Allegations of gross negligence on the part of school officials.

The claim is that they were made aware the student, who already had a history of violent behavior, had brought a firearm to the school that fateful day, yet they failed to take necessary precautions.

As legal proceedings unfold, questions about where the case will be tried persist.

The Newport News School Board contends that Zwerner’s injuries are work-related, suggesting that the lawsuit might be shifted from a civil court to the Virginia Workers’ Compensation Commission.

Meanwhile, the child’s mother, Deja Taylor, is in legal turmoil of her own.

Initially facing charges for felony child neglect and a misdemeanor related to firearm access by a minor, she later pleaded guilty to possessing a firearm while being an unlawful user of a controlled substance and lying during a firearm purchase.

If convicted, Taylor could spend up to 25 years behind bars. U.S. Attorney Jessica Aber stated, “Federal requirements for firearm ownership are not optional and exist to protect owners, their family members, and the communities where they live.”

Bottom Line

In a separate but related matter, Hunter Biden’s case has been juxtaposed against Taylor’s.

While Taylor faces the full brunt of the law, Biden was offered a pretrial diversion for possessing a firearm, despite being an unlawful user of a controlled substance.

Questions arise as Biden, contrary to Taylor, was not charged with lying on the federal form used for firearm purchase, even though he allegedly lied about drug usage.

This discrepancy highlights the apparent inconsistency and potential favoritism within the justice system.

This Virginia case underscores the urgent need for school safety, vigilant parenting, and consistent legal proceedings for all individuals, irrespective of their status or connections.

I live local to this incident, and was also surprised…however, the issue is – what could the mother have done differently? IF she had a firearm for protection, felt she needed it, but defied the laws of firearm possession nevertheless, shouldn’t she be given some type of, uh, leniency? NOT just because she was related to a powerful, famous person, but because she felt threatened either at work or home, yes/maybe? I feel really badly for this mother, and wonder how such a woman could have given birth to such a little hellion, of any color. She needs support and prayers, but would guess so does the child. Something is definitely wrong with him…

Let’s see Hunter is white and connected high up. This woman is black and not connected. So, the feds jump all over her and slap Hunter on the wrist? My opinion, Hunter should get what ever she gets, same crime he should do the same time. Oh, I forgot his daddy is the President of the United States. By the way I am a white male Republican.

Hunter didn’t shoot anyone. Give me a break, this has nothing to do with race. The kids’ mother should be put in jail for leaving a weapon where her kid could get hold of it. Who raises kids like this? The kid is only 6 years old, and this is what happens?

I hear you saying she’s black. That makes no difference. She’s a drug user, she lied about that when she filled out the federal ATF form
before the gun was sold to her. She’s guilty. Yes, if Hunter Aldi’s the same thing, he’s guilty too. Both should be tried for that crime.
Next, she left a firearm where a 6 year old could get hold of it, and apparently, it was loaded. Crime number 2? Lastly, she’s probably a single Mom with no Dad in the picture. Her little boy is a sad case. He thinks that killing his teacher is the answer to his unhappiness. Our society is populated with “families “ such as this. Often the tv becomes the parent while mom is doing whatever she must to feed her family. The nuclear family is and has been under fire by evil influences for decades. Blame Hollywood, blame record companies, blame game producers etc. to what end. The problem with our society is that we have take God out of the equation and we are destroying ourselves from within. We were told back when I was a teenager (I’m 74 now), that we would be destroyed from within. The communists came right out and said it. Now they are in our government which is no longer by the people and for the people. They have turned us against ourselves and look around, our nation is being destroyed from within and it starts with our children, just as they said it would. A 6 year old with a gun wanting to kill his teacher? Who’s at fault?
        WE ARE!!!

She had placed the gun on a very high shelf — unobtainable to anyone but an obviously resourceful though evil little child. I say “evil” because of these very comments, but do not fault the mother. From local reports (I live nearby) she did everything she thought she should to keep the weapon away from her child. The only thing better would have been a locked gun safe, which perhaps she couldn’t afford. As said in another comment, really do not fault the mother (and where is the father in all this anyway?!?) but think this child has needed some serious restraint, oversight, for a long time…

My son was asked to write a report about what he did over the summer break, so he wrote, “I went to my grandpa’s farm and we shot guns at targets”. He was suspended for saying the word “gun” in school.

Parents need to stand up to the crazy woke agenda. Punishing responsible, safe gun usage while neglecting to prevent reckless, violent behavior in school, even after complaints are filed and administrators made aware of a violent student is unacceptable .
Unfortunately many minority kids have no male role models to teach them right from wrong , it’s sad – and dangerous!

I raised three kids alone, and not having a man around is just a crazy statement. You teach your kids right from wrong and reinforce it.

Pull ypur children. There is no fixing public education. You can’t figure out another way? The alternative is hormones without parental consent, covid shot, molestation, indoctrination, sex change. Think about that, they can CHANGE YOUR CHILDS SEX. Collapse the system. Kids don’t go to school. Schools don’t get money. They can’t pay teachers(groomers). Schools close.kill all the pedo, grooming, indoctrinators with one stone.

The kid should be removed from his parents and placed in a padded cell under 24 hour obversation until he is old enough to stand trial for attempted murder. There’s no place in America for this kind of violence by a 6 year old NUT.

I agree with Cosmo. Also, jail the mother for 30 years for a boat load of reasons.

I feel for the child who thought what he did was something to brag about, that shooting his teacher was okay, Did all the violence of the summer of mostly peaceful protests as woke media called it of looting, attacking, burning, killing with no punishment give this child a sense that violence and murder were okay? Or maybe watching today’s television shows where shooting and sex are right in prime time where children can watch it.but know matter how you look at this it is sad that a child this young as this outlook are such a young age it is sad what is the world coming to when hate is being shown by babies as third world countries have. I’m s time to take our country back from the woke agencies and ket children be shown compassion, fairness, equality and to respect one another.

Long jail time for both mother and son. A six year old should know the difference between right and wrong. Thirty years for both seems about right.
