January 1, Vanessa Trump Shares Joyful News After Beating Breast Cancer

Wyatt’s Take
- Vanessa Trump’s recovery is a powerful reminder that faith, family, and early detection can turn the tide against cancer.
- Her story highlights the importance of regular screenings and the strength found in traditional family support systems.
- By sharing her journey during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, she’s helping other women take charge of their health before it’s too late.
Vanessa Trump, former wife of Donald Trump Jr., announced Friday that she is cancer-free. The 48-year-old shared the news in a video posted by her daughter Kai Trump. The mother-daughter moment came months after Vanessa revealed her breast cancer diagnosis and began treatment.
“I am finally cancer-free,” Vanessa said in the clip. Kai leaned in to hug her mother right after the announcement. The family chose Breast Cancer Awareness Month to share the update and encourage other women to get screened.
“My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer in April, so we thought we would share her story and how she was diagnosed and how she overcame it,” Kai said. A longer interview with radiologist Dr. Nicole Saphier is set to drop on Kai’s YouTube channel this weekend.
Vanessa first went public with her diagnosis back in May. At the time she asked for privacy while she focused on her health. In June she posted another update after surgery, writing that she was sending “love, strength, and hope to everyone fighting this battle.”
Family support poured in from the start. Ivanka Trump replied to the original announcement with a simple message: “Praying for your continued strength and a swift recovery. Love you mama.”
Kai later described the emotional weeks before she left for college, saying she and her mom spent a lot of time crying together. She called the extra summer time with her mother “a blessing in disguise.”
Vanessa and Donald Trump Jr. share five children. The couple divorced in 2018. Reports at the time of her diagnosis noted that golfer Tiger Woods was by her side throughout treatment.
