A Lebanese native turned U.S. citizen rammed his car into Temple Israel synagogue in West Bloomfield, Michigan.
Explosives filled the trunk as he fired shots at security, dying in the fiery aftermath.
Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard detailed the Thursday chaos.
Sen. Elissa Slotkin voted Thursday to keep partial DHS shutdown going.
She flipped Friday, calling DHS essential after the attack hit her state.
“I would say the department, because they are essential workers, they have been at work,” Slotkin said. “Certainly in Michigan, we have a ton of DHS folks, CBP and so they are on the call and they are doing their jobs. Certainly, we need to fund the Department of Homeland Security and we need, in my view, to cut away all the conversation on ICE, which is its own conversation, from all of the core missions at the Department of Homeland Security. But they’re essential, they are on the job and they are working today.”
Slotkin cited January Minneapolis deaths by ICE in her prior no vote.
Democrats push reforms like no ICE masks or warrantless entries, but GOP won’t budge on core missions.

Funny how differently things appear to the Democrats when they have skin in the game. Do we have to wait for atrocities and disasters to occur in every Democrat senator‘s state to get DHS funding restored? The stupidity is beyond description.

This happens way too often. Democrats are just wishy-washy and base their vote on whichever way the wind blows that day. In a whole lot of instances, our congressmen and congresswomen are not doing the job of the American people. This needs to change. Too often people vote for someone because of name recognition. No effort is made to research them. Wake up people. The democrat party is not your grandfather’s democrat party. It has turned into a communist party.

Democrats don’t give a damn who gets hurt or can’t feed their families so long as it’s not them. This is especially true of the democrats in Congress. Eventually someone a democrat knows or loves will be harmed by one of these criminal illegal alien invaders or muslims and then the politician will be demanding something be done immediately.

“She flipped Friday”. You can’t possibly be stupid enough to believe someone like Slutkin changed her mind because of a terrorist attack. She is a liberal ideologues. The only thing that changed Friday are her words not how she will vote. Terrorism, lying, cheating , misinforming, citizens dying. The thing that makes zero sense about the “flip”…the terrorist attacker was already a US citizen, so ICE would not have been involved in mitigating him as a threat in the slightest.
