January 1, Global Trade Shifts as New Deals Take Shape

Hey, folks! Let me tell you what’s happening with our country and the rest of the world, thanks to President Trump’s bold moves on trade.

Last week, a lot of countries started talking to the United States because President Trump announced some important tariffs. Let me explain: tariffs are like taxes on stuff we buy from other countries. At first, over 50 countries reached out to us, and now, that number has jumped to almost 70! That’s huge.

Well, here’s what happened: Trump decided to pause those big tariffs for most countries, keeping them at 10% for now. But for China, he made them even higher because China hasn’t been playing fair.

Kevin Hassett, who helps President Trump with the economy, went on TV and explained it all. He said we can’t depend too much on things made outside the U.S.—especially if there’s trouble in the world. So, they’re fixing that by making deals.

Here’s the deal: If countries treat us fair, the U.S. will make their tariff rate low. And guess what? Over 130 countries are now working with us. We’re getting great deals from places like Japan, Korea, and India, and talks with China are just starting.

Things are moving fast, and some countries are close to sealing the deal. Hassett said they thought about announcing a big win this week, but decided to wait because everything is progressing so quickly.

Some people might think Trump’s team isn’t on the same page, but that’s not true. Trump sets a clear path, and everyone, like Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, works together. Kevin Hassett helps make sure it all happens smoothly.

President Trump’s making big changes for America, and we’re glad to see it happening!

President Trump has been making big changes in how the United States trades with other countries. This all started when he announced some tariffs, which are taxes on things we buy from other countries. Because of these tariffs, more than 130 countries are now talking to the United States about new trade deals. These changes are aimed at making sure that we are treated fairly and that we don’t rely too much on things made outside our country.

With the new tariffs, if countries treat us fairly, they get low tariffs. This means we’re getting better deals with countries like Japan, Korea, and India. Even though talks with China are just beginning, there is a lot of progress. By being firm with China, Trump is trying to make sure they play fair. Some countries are very close to making new deals with us, and that’s really exciting because it means our country will benefit.

Even though it might seem like there could be confusion, all of Trump’s team, including important people like Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, are working together well. They are following Trump’s clear path to make sure everything goes smoothly. These efforts are showing that the United States is getting stronger in how we trade with other countries, and it’s great to see the progress being made for America.

Of course there’s the spin of dirty lies by the corrupt media and d.c. cabal haters. And they know nothing about tariff trade deal talks. China is our biggest enemy in trade and everything else. China’s economy is in bad shape. They don’t even have enough food to feed their people.
