January 1, Gas Prices Rise as Trump Begins New Term

Published

on

President Donald Trump is back and just started his new term. But even with a great leader taking charge again, gas prices are on the rise. On his first day, the average price for a gallon of regular gas hit $3.126. That’s a bit more expensive than the day before and it’s something that started going up during the last weeks of the Biden administration.

Just to give you some context, a year ago it was $3.077 per gallon. And when Trump first became president back in January 2017, the price was even lower at $2.349. During Trump’s first term, from 2017 to 2020, gas was pretty affordable, at around $2.476. But as soon as Biden was in charge, prices shot up, even going over $3 by mid-2021.

And remember when it got really bad? By June 2022, gas prices hit an all-time high of $4.929! That’s the most we’ve ever seen in our history. Luckily, after peaking there, prices came down a little, but they kept going up and down over the following years.

Right now, $3.126 might not sound fun, but it’s important to know that prices vary in different parts of the country. In Mississippi, gas is the cheapest, at $2.685 a gallon, while in Hawaii, it’s really high at $4.538.

In our nation’s capital and the surrounding states like Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia, gas prices have gone up too. Virginia used to have prices under $3 last week, but now they’re at $3.072, which is still the cheapest in that area. In Maryland, it’s even higher at $3.35. Delaware is now priced at $3.239 per gallon, and in Washington, D.C., it’s a bit less at $3.274.

We know these rising fuel costs are tough on families, but let’s see how things change with Trump back. Hope for the best, folks!

The price of gas is something that affects everyone, from families driving to school to workers commuting to their jobs. Even though President Trump is back in office, gas prices are higher than they were before. The average price now is $3.126 per gallon, which is more than it used to be. Last year, gas was a bit cheaper at $3.077, and during Trump’s first time as president, it was even lower, around $2.349. It’s tough for people who have to fill up their tanks regularly, and it was especially hard when prices reached an all-time high of $4.929 in 2022.

Gas prices can be different depending on where you live. Some places, like Mississippi, have cheaper gas at $2.685 per gallon, but other places, like Hawaii, have prices as high as $4.538. In our area, we’ve seen prices go up, too. In Virginia, gas was under $3 just last week but now is at $3.072. It’s a little cheaper compared to Maryland and Delaware, where prices are $3.35 and $3.239, respectively. Even in Washington, D.C., gas is $3.274, which is still more than many people would like to pay.

It’s important to remember that while gas prices are high, things might change now that Trump is back in office. People are hopeful that prices could come down again, making it easier for families to manage their budgets. Everyone is watching to see what happens next, and there’s a hope that relief is on the way. It’s a time to stay positive and see what changes might come.

Only a moron believes the price of gas is tied to the presidency. OPEC and international pressures determine gas prices. Stop lying to your gullible readership.

Who thinks all the effects of the past idiot and chump can be turned around it a few days. The economy has been severly impacted by the runaway spending under Sniffy and the foolish war on fossel fuels. Four years of lunacy by the policies of the democrats is going to take some time to turn around.

The bone head that wrote is a moron to the truth. The chicom jotato bribum declared war on fossil fuels. Banned lots of drilling. Pushed the ev bs and climate change garbage. The oil companies will now, drill baby drill. Prices won’t go down right away. In fact. The oil reserves were depleted by the d.c. cabal. And actually sold to other countries. That’s treason.
