January 1, FBI Storms John Bolton’s Home Over Classified Files

The FBI raided John Bolton’s Maryland residence early Friday in a high-stakes national security probe involving classified material. Agents also collected boxes from his D.C. office as part of the ongoing investigation.

Deputy Director Dan Bongino added, “Public corruption will not be tolerated,” and Attorney General Pam Bondi chimed in, “America’s safety isn’t negotiable. Justice will be pursued. Always.”

The FBI told reporters it conducted a court-approved operation and that there was no danger to the public.

Reports surfaced that a previous probe into Bolton fizzled out for political reasons. Bolton served under President Trump from 2018 to 2019, later criticizing the former president after leaving his post.

Bolton’s memoir sparked controversy, with the government arguing it revealed sensitive secrets. The Trump administration attempted to block the book and even stripped Bolton of his security clearance earlier this year, calling the publication a “grave risk.”

President Trump also pulled Bolton’s Secret Service security detail earlier this year and recently bashed Bolton in a Truth Social post. Bolton was reportedly not present during the FBI search.
