January 1, Elon Musk Rethinks Political Alliances Over Spending Bill

Elon Musk, the big tech guy with lots of money, is telling us he doesn’t like how some Republican lawmakers are acting. On Monday, he said that any GOP member who promised to cut government spending but then votes for this big spending bill is in trouble. He wants them to lose the next election.
Musk used to be good friends with President Trump but got mad because of this new bill that’s over 900 pages long. Congress is trying to rush it through fast. Musk wrote on X that anyone who promised smaller government but then votes for more debt should feel bad. He’s ready to make sure they lose their jobs in Congress next year.
This is a big change for Musk. He used to spend a lot of money helping Trump and other Republicans win last year. He was even in charge of trying to make the government work better by cutting waste.
Musk criticized the House Freedom Caucus members and didn’t like that the bill might stop giving tax benefits for green energy, which could affect his Tesla company. He even talked about starting a new political party because he thinks both the Democrats and Republicans are just one big group that doesn’t help the regular people enough. He called it the “Porky Pig Party.”
Musk said if this bill giving FIVE TRILLION DOLLARS more debt passes, he’ll make a new party called the “America Party,” so people really get a say in things.
President Trump also said he’d challenge Republicans who aren’t backing his bill. Some like Sen. Thom Tillis from North Carolina said they won’t run again. But Musk likes Rep. Thomas Massie from Kentucky, who is against the bill too.
The GOP leaders want to pass the bill by July 4 to make Trump happy. The plan is to keep Trump’s tax cuts going, spend more on border security, and make it easier to drill for oil in America. They say it’s going to make the economy boom like “JET FUEL.”
There’s still lots of talk and changes happening in the Senate, and some ideas like stopping states from giving Medicaid to illegal immigrants who do bad things aren’t making it into the bill.
Rep. Chip Roy from Texas doesn’t like what the Senate Republicans are doing. He thinks they care more about keeping Biden’s green energy ideas instead of focusing on our huge $37 trillion debt and inflation.
Wyatt Matters!
Elon Musk is really upset with some lawmakers right now. He thinks it’s a big problem if they say they’ll cut government spending but then support a giant bill that does the opposite. Musk feels so strongly about this that he wants those lawmakers to lose their jobs in the next election if they don’t keep their promises. It’s a big change because Musk used to help these politicians a lot, including President Trump, but this new bill made him so mad that he’s even thinking about starting a new political party.
This huge bill is over 900 pages long, and Musk is worried that it might take away tax benefits for green energy, which could hurt his company, Tesla. He’s upset at the House Freedom Caucus members, and he doesn’t like how Congress is rushing the bill through. Musk’s idea for a new party, the “America Party,” is because he thinks both the Democrats and Republicans aren’t doing enough for regular people. He doesn’t like the idea of adding $5 trillion more debt with this bill.
Musk likes Rep. Thomas Massie from Kentucky because Massie is also against the bill. Some Republicans are having a hard time deciding what to do because President Trump is pushing for the bill to pass by July 4. They think it will help the economy a lot, but others like Rep. Chip Roy from Texas are worried about the country’s huge debt and inflation. People are talking a lot about this bill, and there’s pressure to agree on what should be in it, like border security and Trump’s tax cuts, while also arguing about things like green energy benefits.

Supreme Court Gift: Trump’s Trial Delayed, Election Interference Allegations Linger

This is a reconciliation bill, not a full-fledged budget. It is probably the only chance to pass anything through the Senate. Without this bill, tax cuts that helped almost every American will be lost, taxes will go up and GOP will lose in the midterms ending any chance of further progress by Trump. The net cost of this bill is not even being talked about since growth of the tax base is not factored into CBO estimates. So, just as CBO gloom and doom estimates on 2017 tax cuts never materialized, CBO 10-year deficit estimates should be discounted.

Omg. FOX talking points.
$trillion in Medicaid cuts and $400B in expending border enforcement and defense Immigration reform could have taken care of all that by streamlining the process and marking it so much better and less costly.
Defense spending ? You have. No idea. All are on friendly contracts and cost tax payers 5-10 times normal cost because of red tape and multi level corruption juts in that department. You want to cut spending. Do it correctly. Eliminate the overpayment on almost everything the government buys.

It is difficult to believe Musk has gone off the rails. There has to be another issue, perhaps hidden, that has set Musk off. Usually, it’s money, which he certainly doesn’t need. Perhaps it’s principle. The only thing I can think of is Trumps removal of the mandate for electric cars. may have set Musk off. That doesn’t make sense. I guess in time, the real issue will make itself evident………….

Im probably wrong, but i would say the bill has some cuts in it that will affect Elon’s tesla or other ventures.

And Elon has his political origins in the leftist camp, remember, so he is still a bit bipolar in that envirinment.

It’s a shame that Elon Musk has taken his disdain for this bill so public. Couldn’t he have addressed this more privately with the right people. I’m sure that a lot of his dislike for the bill is the removal of the mandate for electric vehicles. I’m a true believer that perhaps this EV mandate is something for the future, but it should not be a mandate. I really hope he can reflect on what a great relationship he had and how every time he goes ballistic it is shattering it more.
Sad to see.

I thought that he was different, but the only reason he is against this it appears is that his EV mandate and credits will no longer be in effect. Electric vehicles are a good idea, but nowhere near ready for prime time. When they have a battery that is not a fire hazard, not an ecological disaster in the making of the batteries or being able to dispose of them, or if it catches on fire, or costs $10-20000 to replace, or does not take seral hours to recharge among other problems, then it might make sense to have them. Until then, which will probably be 15-130 years down the road, gasoline run cars are probably the only conveyance that makes sense. Oh, and carbon in the air is needed by plants for photosynthesis in the production of oxygen in the air. Knocking down all the trees and stripping the land to make toxic batteries depletes natures ability to make oxygen. Think about it. Maybe he ought to help people get through life instead of forcing them to buy electric cars they cannot afford to buy or to repair if needed. Get a grip!

P.S. President Trump is THE ONLY PRESIDENT since I started voting that has actually gone out of his way to keep his campaign promises. The first President I voted for was President Reagan. This Country needs President Trumps resolute leadership!

I have a ton of respect for Musk and all he has done for the United States.(buying twitter, Doge, Space Ex, etc) but he is wrong turning on Trump and supporting Massie.
