  • The Justice Department will start releasing Epstein files this Friday.
  • Congress demanded the documents be shared with the public within 30 days.
  • Batches of hundreds of thousands of documents will roll out over the coming weeks.

The Justice Department is set to begin releasing its files on Jeffrey Epstein in stages, starting this week. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said Congress and the public will receive “several hundred thousand” documents initially, with more coming in the following weeks.

“So today is the 30 days when I expect that we’re going to release several hundred thousand documents today. And those documents will come in in all different forms, photographs and other materials associated with, with all of the investigations into, into Mr. Epstein,” Blanche stated.

He explained that personal information about witnesses and victims will be protected before any release. The law requires the Department of Justice to make all unclassified Epstein records public, except those tied to ongoing investigations or prosecutions.

Congress passed the bill last month demanding transparency about Epstein, his crimes, and his powerful connections. President Trump signed this measure, which directs the DOJ to make materials about Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell available in an open and searchable format for all Americans.

The DOJ said last summer it holds over 300 gigabytes of evidence, including thousands of disturbing images and videos. Epstein, who died in jail in 2019, had ties to many elites, drawing intense public interest in these hidden files.
