Wyatt’s Take

  • Disney let Jimmy Kimmel return despite outrage over his remarks on Charlie Kirk.
  • Many on the left celebrated, while conservatives questioned the double standard.
  • Protests and heated debate continue as Americans weigh free speech and fairness.

Disney allowed Jimmy Kimmel back on his late-night show after a short suspension over comments about Charlie Kirk’s alleged attacker. Conservatives, including Turning Point USA’s Andrew Kolvet, openly criticized the network’s decision, saying Disney gave in to pressure and let Kimmel off easy.

Kolvet shared,

“Disney and ABC caving and allowing Kimmell [sic] back on the air is not surprising, but it’s their mistake to make. Nextstar [sic] and Sinclair do not have to make the same choice.”

On social media, Democrats and activists cheered the decision, calling it a win for free speech and people power after days of boycotts and protest. California Governor Gavin Newsom posted,

“Thank you to everyone but @BrendanCarrFCC. This is a win for free speech everywhere.”

Meanwhile, conservatives mocked what they saw as hypocrisy, pointing out the quick return. Stephen Miller wrote,

“Worst fascism ever.”

Some warned of double standards, arguing conservative voices in entertainment rarely get second chances. Actor Matthew Marsden posted,

“So Kimmel is coming back. They achieved their goal. Be a conservative in Hollywood though, and you will never work.”

Last week, crowds protested outside Disney’s Burbank headquarters and outside the Kimmel studio demanding he return to air. Protesters chanted, “ABC bent the knee! No to the FCC!”

Some on the right said Kimmel’s suspension highlighted government overreach, but others worried the debate overshadows real issues of bias and free speech in corporate media.

If you care about real fairness and holding the media accountable, stick with us for the truth big networks ignore.

Wyatt Matters

This story is another example of how regular Americans see different rules for Hollywood elites and working folks. People in the heartland value fairness and honest conversation. When major companies like Disney make decisions that seem one-sided, it reminds us why trust in media is at an all-time low.

Another hate mongering dung flinger back on the late shows. Good for agitating and riling the easily brainwashed. Maybe he can help/contribute some more hate for another potential killer?

Your company needs to grow a spine for caving to the left. Too bad your company has no moral compass.

Disney has no morals nor a back bone…they caved. Kimmel is not a good entertainer anyway! Never will watch him again!

Disney has been sliding downhill for a long time. They already show extreme far left nonsense to children. Consequently I would not allow it in my home, nor will my kids allow it for their kids, nor will many other American families. However, I strongly believe everyone should have the freedom to be stupid. Never interfere with your enemy when he is doing something collosally stupid.
