January 1, Democrats Accuse Trump of Easing Russia Sanctions

Hey there, friends! Let’s chat about some things going on in Washington. You know how those Democrats love to point fingers, especially at President Trump, even when he isn’t to blame for something. Well, it’s happening again!
So, the Democrats over on the House Foreign Affairs Committee got all mad and said Trump let Russia off easy by lifting sanctions. But guess what? That’s not true at all! Trump didn’t lift any sanctions. What really happened is about some rules set up before he even got back into office.
The Treasury Department renewed something called a “general license,” which is just a fancy way of saying that a few Russian banks can keep doing some specific work for now. This all started under President Biden in 2024 and was renewed again in early 2025—before Trump took office.
A Republican spokesman hit back, saying the Democrats’ claims are “verifiably false.” Everything going on now with Russia started when Biden was president, not Trump. But, you know how some folks are—they just want to nag about our guy, even if they have to make stuff up.
The Democrats haven’t deleted their post about it yet. They tried to cover up a bit by saying Trump is making “exceptions.” But the truth from folks who worked under Biden says Trump isn’t changing any sanctions—just continuing a deal that was already there to help deal with Russia and Ukraine.
To put it simply, Trump isn’t the one letting Russia off the hook. Those sanctions are still in place. The Democrats might want to blame Trump, but the facts say otherwise!
Isn’t it funny how sometimes the truth gets twisted? Always pays to check the facts, folks!
Wyatt Matters!
Some people are saying that President Trump is letting Russia off too easily by lifting sanctions, but that’s just not true. What’s really going on is that the rules about certain sanctions were decided before Trump even became president again. The Treasury Department just renewed a “general license,” which lets some Russian banks keep doing their business for now. This was all set up back when President Biden was in charge, in 2024 and then again in early 2025 before Trump took office. So, Trump isn’t changing anything new or giving Russia a break; he’s just following the plan that was already in place.
It’s important to know that the sanctions against Russia are still there. Some Democrats are saying that Trump is making “exceptions,” but people who used to work under Biden say that’s not what’s happening. The current situation is just a continuation of an agreement made to help manage things with Russia and Ukraine. It’s not fair to blame Trump for something that he didn’t change or start.
Sometimes, people jump to conclusions or share stories without checking what’s real. It’s always a good idea to look at the facts before deciding what to believe. While some folks might want to point fingers at Trump, the whole story shows that he’s not to blame here. Checking the facts helps us see what’s really going on, so we don’t get confused by misunderstandings.

The facts show that Trump, unlike Biden, is courting and pleasing the bloody maniac Putin. It is obvious that Trump is afraid of Putin, which is why he is attacking the Ukrainian president, who is fighting back against the impudent and enraged killer of Ukrainians.

I don’t care which side of the aisle anyone sits on. Remember that statement from the Godfather. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. It may seem at times that Trump is kissing up to the bad guys, but remember that he has been successful with his way of doing business, not doing political nonsense. Remember Common Sense takes a bit of thinking.
