Wyatt’s Take

  • Deion Sanders predicts his son Shedeur will start for the Cleveland Browns.
  • Head coach Kevin Stefanski has not hinted at a quarterback change.
  • Shedeur currently sits third on the team’s depth chart.

Deion Sanders is keeping an eye on the Browns’ quarterback situation, saying his son Shedeur will get a shot to start this season.

He shared this view on the “New Heights” podcast, telling the Kelce brothers.

“I’ve got a feeling when it’s going to go down.”

When asked about advice for Shedeur, Deion said.

“Be patient and be ready.”

Head coach Kevin Stefanski has given no public hint of a change under center, with Joe Flacco leading the team to a rough 1-2 start.

Dillon Gabriel, drafted ahead of Shedeur, is holding the backup spot—for now.

The Browns see Flacco as temporary until one of these young quarterbacks is ready to lead.

Deion talked about draft night, confirming his son fell to the fifth round.

He mentioned teams like the Ravens and Eagles showed some interest before the Browns made their pick.

Deion also said on the podcast.

“How in the world can somebody fault Shedeur for saying or thinking, ‘Why in the world would I go back up Lamar for 10 more years?’ I’ve never sat on the bench and said, ‘Well, I learned a lot today.’”

Right now, Shedeur is still waiting for his opportunity, but Deion is sure it’s just a matter of time before his son gets the call.
