A federal appeals court overturned many tariffs that were set during President Trump’s time in office. The court said the president went too far using emergency powers to put these import taxes in place.

Trump shot back, saying the move will lead to huge financial losses for American workers and families. He believes much of the expected $15 trillion in investments, spurred by the tariffs, will now be called off.

“More than 15 Trillion Dollars will be invested in the USA, a RECORD. Much of this investment is because of Tariffs,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post.

“If a Radical Left Court is allowed to terminate these Tariffs, almost all of this investment, and much more, will be immediately cancelled! In many ways, we would become a Third World Nation, with no hope of GREATNESS again. TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE!!! President DJT.”

These developments could have lasting impacts on jobs and industry across Middle America. The concern now is what comes next for American manufacturing and small towns that counted on that investment boom.
