January 1, Comer Blasts Clintons Over Epstein Interview Demand

Wyatt’s Take
- The Clintons tried pushing for a closed-door meeting on the Epstein case.
- Rep. Comer shot it down, saying Congress has a right to real answers.
- Contempt charges are on the table if the Clintons keep dodging questioning.
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer says he turned down an offer from the Clintons to have an unofficial chat about the Epstein investigation. Comer said the deal would not allow other members to attend, and there would be no official transcript.
Comer wrote that “the latest demands” by the Clintons “make clear they believe their last name entitles them to special treatment.” He blasted Bill Clinton as having “a documented history of parsing language to evade questions.”
“Facing contempt of Congress, the Clintons’ lawyers made an untenable offer: that I travel to New York for a conversation with President Clinton only,” Comer said. “No official transcript would be recorded and other Members of Congress would be barred from participating. I have rejected the Clintons’ ridiculous offer.”
Comer says the committee’s subpoenas require both Clintons to answer questions under oath and on the record. He pointed out that President Clinton has already been caught dodging and lying under oath before and lost his law license for it.
“The absence of an official transcript is an indefensible demand that is insulting to the American people who demand answers about Epstein’s crimes,” Comer said. He argued that without a formal record, folks would only get to hear competing stories with no truth guaranteed.
Comer says the committee needs Hillary Clinton’s on-the-record statements, given what she may know about how the government handled sex-trafficking cases, her ties with Maxwell, and her family’s history with Epstein.
Contempt proceedings start tomorrow. The committee is also considering holding both Clintons in contempt of Congress for ignoring these official subpoenas.
The committee has already sent subpoenas to other officials involved in the Epstein story, aiming to get the truth about what really happened.
Stay tuned as Congress stands up for transparency while powerful folks try to cut corners. Heartlanders know you can’t have one rule for the rich and another for everyone else.
Wyatt Matters
When the powerful dodge questions, regular folks wonder what they’re hiding. Real accountability shouldn’t be just for working people—it’s got to apply to everyone, no matter their name, if we want a country that’s truly fair.

All of this obstruction shows why the Democrats did not release the Epstein files for the four years of the Biden administration. There are a few Epstein files pictures of Trump when he was a democrat party member. All of them seem to be at fund raising parties.
