Six former players from New Orleans, Mississippi Valley, and Arizona State are now banned from NCAA basketball for life.
The NCAA says these athletes either tried to fix games or gave out insider details to help gamblers.
The NCAA found the players lied or tried to mislead investigators, which led to their permanent ban.
Alvin Stredic and Donovan Sanders, according to reports, were approached to throw a January game. One was overheard talking about fixing a December matchup.
The NCAA says about 30 current or former men’s college basketball athletes have now been investigated.
