January 1, CNN Silences Trump Press Secretary Mid-Interview, Here’s Why

Published

on

Trump campaign national press secretary Karoline Leavitt was cut off mid-interview on CNN. She later commented, “It is really shocking just how triggering the truth is to CNN.”

Leavitt brought up the history of CNN’s Jake Tapper criticizing former President Donald Trump. This seemed to be too much for CNN’s Kasie Hunt.

Tapper is set to co-host CNN’s presidential debate on Thursday. Leavitt’s point about Tapper’s anti-Trump history was relevant in the context of the pre-debate conversation.

After the incident, Leavitt remarked, “CNN cutting off my microphone for bringing up a debate moderator’s history of anti-Trump lies just proves our point that President Trump will not be treated fairly in Thursday’s debate.”

Leavitt continued, saying, “Let’s stop pretending like CNN is still the most trusted name in news. They are not, and I pointed out statements that Jake Tapper himself has made in the past.”

She argued that it was ironic that Tapper could make controversial statements on air, but she was not allowed to repeat them.

Reacting to the situation, Hunt claimed she cut Leavitt off because she allegedly did not show respect to her colleagues, namely, Jake Tapper. “You come on my show, you respect my colleagues. Period,” Hunt said.

Leavitt shot back, saying, “You cut off my microphone for bringing up the debate moderator’s history of anti-Trump lies. This proved our point that President Trump will not be treated fairly on Thursday.”

Despite these concerns, Leavitt added, “Yet he is still willing to go into this 3-1 fight to bring his winning message to the American people, and he will win.”

We do not believe Donald Trump should have agreed to allow these moderators and CNN to participate in this
debate (if we can call it a debate).

CNN will use this “debate” as a campaign rally for Biden. Jakie Tapper is a phony fake news promoter from the word go.

Why was CNN (Communist News Network) allowed to be the moderator? Most likely will be GROSSLY UNFAIR to TRUMP!

    CNN
    like Biden
Is totally into censorship. They banned Kennedy from this debate because they perceive him as a threat to Biden. If they thought he was going to hurt TRUMP he’d be right on that stage front and center. Free speech is no longer a democratic “thing”.
