1921: Congresswoman Alice Mary Robertson becomes the first woman to preside over the floor of US House of Representatives.
In a bold assertion that has raised eyebrows, former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, who is currently seeking the Republican presidential nomination, claims that he could easily defeat former President Donald Trump in a physical fight.
During an interview with Piers Morgan, the host asked an unusual question:
“Talking of fighting, if you and Trump got in the ring — he loves his UFC and stuff like that, right — if you got in the octagon, you and him, who would win?”
Christie’s response was unequivocal, “Come on,” he protested. “The guy is 78-years-old. I’d kick his ass.”
Morgan, clearly amused, asked if Christie would be willing to become the “undercard, you against Trump?”
The former governor remained undaunted, insisting he would “fight Donald Trump anywhere he wants in any arena he wants. Whether it’s on a debate stage, or in the octagon.”
Christie’s statement about his physical prowess comes amid an intensifying personal war of words between him and Trump.
Christie has emerged as Trump’s most outspoken critic in the GOP field, alleging that Trump’s legal troubles are tormenting him, and branding him a coward for reportedly planning to skip the Republican primary debates.
In response, Trump has targeted Christie’s weight.
He posted on Truth Social, “How many times did Chris Christie use the word SMALL? Does he have a psychological problem with SIZE? Actually, his speech was SMALL, and not very good,” after Christie’s campaign launch.
Christie, who endorsed Trump early in the 2016 cycle, dismissed these criticisms and urged Trump to “look in the mirror.”
“As you know, there are tens of millions of Americans out there who struggle each and every day with their weight. And I’m one of them,” Christie confessed in a conversation with Stephen A. Smith earlier this week. “I just look at him and think what a child, how small he to be doing things like that.”
The escalating animosity between the two candidates promises to be a fiery affair as the race for the Republican presidential nomination progresses.

The picture of him sitting on a aircraft seat, says it all, untill he throw his hat into the ring, I had never heard of him, know absolutely nothing of his achievements during his term as governor, but everyone knows what President Trump is being to the table, let’s hear the other candidates ideas on their policies, they are being to the table, they can only say the same as President Trump as already stated, we all know what he says he will do, he does or trys to doe, but with the Democrats and Rino’s snapping at his ankles, proventing him from keeping his promises. What as all the other candidates got to offer that’s new, absolutely nothing but to follow Trump’s lead, the old saying the devil you know, with President Trump you get what you see, he may be a rough diamond on the edges, but his heart is for the citizens of the USA. This is why the Democrats have nothing more than bogus criminal charges to try to beat him! I live in the UK so I don’t have a dog in the fight, but the majority of the USA have had enough of the leftists woke Democrats policies, that are spreading to the UK, we are holding them back so far, but we will win in the end. I can see this as a possibility. After all, Christie is 18 years younger than President Trump and outweighs him by at least half a ton. You also have to consider he’s got 20 or 30 times the cushioning against any body blows. Finally, you also have to consider the reach required by any opponent to get past the vast barrier of Christie’s waistline in order to give any blows to the head. Let’s face it, it’s a good thing we (supposedly) elect our leaders by their policies, intellect and beliefs rather than by combat. And Christie is a loser in all of those areas.

This guy should be ashamed of himself! He is a real sour grapes RINO! He has an ax to grind with Trump because he was overlooked for Trump’s AG. I, myself, think that he would have been a perfect choice for that position; but, unfortunately Trump chose to pass him up because Kushner wouldn’t have because Christie prosecuted his father and sent him to jail! It was short-sighted for Trump to take Kushner’s advice.
But, this vendetta is self destructive for Christie and Trump should just ignore, ignore and ignore him and not give him a platform. Christie will eventually deflate. Just let him go on making a fool of himself.
