January 1, Celebrities Exiting X Amid Platform Controversies

Published

on

Former CNN host Don Lemon is leaving social media platform X, saying it’s not a place for fair debate anymore, especially after Donald Trump’s election win and with Elon Musk owning X.

On Wednesday, Lemon shared a couple of posts. He said he’s enjoyed talking with folks on X (and Twitter before that) over the years, but it’s time to move on.

Lemon used to think X was for open and honest talks, but he doesn’t feel that way now. He didn’t really explain why, but he mentioned changes happening on X soon.

Starting November 15, if someone has a problem with X, they’ll have to take it to court in Texas, where a lot of conservatives are. Lemon thinks this means X might have an easier time against lawsuits from critics.

He didn’t like that and said fans could find him on other platforms like YouTube and Facebook.

Hollywood star Jamie Lee Curtis also decided to leave X. She shared this on Instagram but didn’t say much about why. She wrote a quote asking for strength and wisdom in tough times.

A U.K. news outlet, The Guardian, also stopped posting on X. They complained about content they didn’t like, mentioning far-right ideas. They believe Elon Musk is using X to influence politics.

After Trump’s reelection, another celebrity, Bette Midler, deleted her X account as well.

On the other hand, TV host Piers Morgan teased those leaving X. He said he’s not going anywhere in a popular post.

Wyatt Matters!

In recent times, people have been expressing concerns about the changes happening on the social media platform X, especially after Elon Musk took over. Many users, like Don Lemon, feel that the platform is not the same anymore and doesn’t allow for open and honest conversations. This sense of unease is pushing some, including celebrities and even news outlets, to leave X altogether. They feel that the changes might make it harder for people to speak freely or challenge what’s being said.

Another worry is about the new rule that says any legal issues with X have to be settled in Texas, a state known for its conservative views. This could make it tougher for people or groups who disagree with X’s policies to win a case against the platform. It seems to give X more power to avoid facing serious consequences if someone feels mistreated. Some see this as making the platform feel unsafe or unfair, leading them, like Lemon, to seek other places to express their thoughts.

While many are choosing to leave, others like Piers Morgan are staying. These differences in reactions show how divided people can feel about social media’s role in our lives. Some see leaving as a way to stand up for what they believe in, while others might think staying means being a part of the ongoing conversation. Regardless of these choices, it’s clear that the changes on X are making everyone think about what’s important to them when it comes to where they spend their time online.

Who really cares if they leave? Sorry to tell them that people who can think for their selves do not care what they think. Therefore their being gone from X will not be of any importance to us. Goodbye and enjoy being with your other loser friends. If you want to leave the country also please do. If you wanted the country to really improve you would actually move to another country. Infect some other country and cure ours.

I remember the first time Pres. Trump won the election. Many so called celebrities said that they were leaving the country. I said that I would wave goodbye to them on the tarmac yet none of them will really left.
. My offer still stands but not one of them will really go! Please leave because nobody with a brain will miss you!

What are they talking about all the shit that happened under the old ownership putting their thumb on the scale was not good for our side now that the libtards made Elon overpay by 10x what it is worth and they thought they were going to get the last laugh. I only signed up after Elon bought it I don’t like any of these stupid platforms but I had to show support to Elon and I suggest every free loving American should.

So, I’ve never had a twitter or X account, but, with all the ignorant liars leaving sounds like time to get an account! And all this bru-ha-ha about limiting content and discrimination I find hilarious, ask any conservative of facebook about discrimination! But, these “celebrities” I use that word loosely are just out right lying because they are leftists nothing more just people of limited intellect that are taking their toys and going home because they didn’t get their way, nothing more nothing less, this is best known as childish spoiled brats.
