  • New York mayoral candidate boasts of giving taxpayer funds to illegal immigrants
  • Video reveals a deep left-wing agenda that ignores everyday citizens
  • Promises to double down on pro-illegal immigrant policies if elected

A video from a few years back has surfaced showing Zohran Mamdani—a candidate running for mayor in New York City—bragging about how he made sure taxpayer money went straight into the pockets of illegal immigrants. That’s not some rumor—he said it himself, and anyone can see just where his priorities lie.

At the time of the video, it was June 2021 and Mamdani was serving in the state assembly. Instead of focusing on the families paying the bills, he celebrated what he called “the greatest victories in Albany”—which, by his words, was creating the excluded workers fund for those in the country illegally who couldn’t get unemployment from the federal or state government. He said:

“When I think of the greatest victories in Albany this year, I think the excluded workers fund, a fund that was created for undocumented workers who were locked out of unemployment at the federal level and at the state level.”

He went further to claim, “what this fund would do is provide some modicum of relief.” He never mentions what this means for actual taxpayers who have to foot the bill, though. He admitted it only happened because of relentless pressure from groups the “state doesn’t even see.” In his words:

“And this fund was won in many ways because of the pressure brought by those that the state doesn’t even recognize, the state does not even see. Without the pressure from those individuals, members of the state would never have taken this action because nothing happens because of benevolence, it happens because of pressure, as you know, and these workers made that very clear in the way that they organized and the victories they won.”

Regular, law-abiding citizens seemed to be an afterthought in all of this.

Mamdani’s campaign hasn’t changed course, either. On his current campaign website, he states clear plans to make New York an even stronger “sanctuary city,” promising to remove ICE from all city facilities, boost legal help for immigrants, and roll back any cooperation with federal immigration authorities. His site claims:

“Zohran Mamdani will fight Trump’s attempts to gouge the working class, and deliver a city where everyone can afford a dignified life. He’ll ensure our immigrant New Yorkers are protected by strengthening our sanctuary city apparatus: getting ICE out of all City facilities and ending any cooperation, increasing legal support, and protecting all personal data.”

This is in direct opposition to the Trump approach, which most folks in Middle America understand is about putting American citizens first and restoring the rule of law.

Despite these far-left beliefs, Mamdani is still considered the frontrunner in the mayoral race. Latest polling shows he’s leading against every other candidate—even with this info coming to light.

Wyatt Matters

This story is a sharp reminder of why it matters who we put in office. When politicians value illegal immigrants over hardworking Americans, it’s the people in the heartland who end up paying the price. Middle America stands for fairness, order, and rewarding folks who follow the rules. If leaders start putting outsiders first, the working families who hold this country together pay the price in lost dollars and lost trust. We need mayors and lawmakers who honor their duty to citizens and put American communities first every single time.
