January 1, Campus Silence While Iran Slaughters Civilians

Wyatt’s Take

  • Iran killed more civilians in two weeks than Israel did in over a year.
  • Left-wing protesters are quiet on Iran’s violence, raising questions.
  • Their outrage seems reserved for targeting Jews and Israel.

If Iran’s recent civilian killings matched Israel’s pace in the war with Hamas, we would see about 475 dead civilians right now. Reports instead show over 12,000 Iranian civilians killed in just two weeks, with some estimates reaching as high as 20,000.

In the Israel-Hamas war, it took Israel nearly 13 months to reach similar death tolls. Iran managed it in half a month, but college protesters are silent on this violence. No big demonstrations, no media buzz, just crickets.

Some would admit that, in the Israeli conflict, a number of Palestinian deaths were militants. In this case, the dead in Iran are all civilians, killed by their own regime. Yet American campuses aren’t outraged.

Why? The answer is tangled up in deep-rooted biases. The modern left has grown hostile to Israel because they dislike Western values and human progress—values Israel represents.

Another reason is the clear absence of Jews among the Iranian killers. Anti-Semitism is nothing new in leftist circles, and history shows it embedded deeply.

Leftism itself is built on envy, resentment, and anger. Success stories like Israel and Jewish communities prove tempting targets for those feelings. This centuries-old resentment bleeds into today’s protests and news cycles.

On Iran, things are complex. The regime is fighting against Islamic groups, which puts them at odds with the “Red/Green Alliance”—leftists and Islamists both oppose Western civilization.

The silence has spiritual roots, too. Some thinkers say the spirit behind such hatred is ancient and evil, especially when directed at Jews.

This is why, despite thousands dead in Iran, American campuses remain quiet. Their earlier protests were never about saving lives—they were about stirring up resentment against Jews.

Stay informed about truth the corporate media won’t share. If you value honest news from a heartland perspective, keep reading and share with friends and family.

Wyatt Matters

When political outrage is selective, it’s everyday Americans who see through it. Heartland folks know real compassion means standing up for all innocent lives, not just when it fits an agenda.
