Wyatt’s Take

  • Boston is facing criticism over a program that offers wellness-style benefits to certain migrants.
  • The city is operating under a major budget shortfall while funding the initiative.
  • Critics say the spending puts local taxpayers and families last.

Mayor Michelle Wu is drawing fire over a taxpayer-funded program for migrants that includes services like massages, yoga, and salon visits.

The initiative, known as Belonging Matters, has also stirred backlash because it focuses on trans and queer migrants.

Jim Polito, a Boston-area radio host, criticized the program in a recent interview.

“Boston radio host Jim Polito rails against mayor for prioritizing illegal migrants over citizens”

This is a slap in the face to Americans who are struggling to afford basic needs while city leaders spend on perks for non-citizens. Middle America expects government to protect taxpayers first and spend limited dollars on the people who built their communities.

Wyatt Matters

Americans know priorities matter, and local leaders should put working families ahead of expensive giveaways.

I guess the stupidity and corruption hasn’t gotten bad enough yet to wake up the voters in MA?
I voted with my feet years ago and moved to a sane state. Many others continue to do the same. Maybe that’s the issue? Sane ones leave and only the loons are left to vote for people who prioritize criminal invaders over law abiding taxpayers.
