January 1, Bernie’s AI Dilemma: Jobs, Purpose, and Taxes

Published

on

Hey folks, let’s talk about what ol’ Bernie Sanders is up to now. He’s worried about artificial intelligence and how it might take away jobs. He doesn’t seem to know how folks will find meaning in life if we all just sit back and let the government handle everything for us.

So Bernie took a break from his busy schedule to chat with Joe Rogan on a podcast. Joe asked him a big question: What happens when AI takes jobs, and the government just gives everyone money? How do people find meaning in their lives then?

Bernie called it a “revolution in human experience,” whatever that means. He said that throughout history, people have worked hard to survive, and now we might not have to work as much. But how do we find meaning in all that?

Joe and Bernie agreed that just falling in love with AI isn’t the answer. But how do folks get purpose if they’re just sitting at home getting a check and watching TV all day?

Bernie thinks the immediate thing we should do is take care of workers who lose their jobs. He talks a lot about making sure everyone has healthcare, education, and a decent income as human rights. He also wants to lower the workweek.

Now, Bernie isn’t sure what folks will do for meaning in the future when jobs disappear. He says humans will have to find new things that make them happy, but he’s not sure what that will be.

Joe point-blank asked Bernie what we’d do for all the people needing purpose, and Bernie admitted he doesn’t have the answer. But he sure knows one thing: He still thinks we need to tax the rich more because he believes they’re getting richer off all this AI stuff.

So, while Bernie doesn’t have a clue about how to give people meaning, he’s ready to talk about taxes and income equality all day!

Wyatt Matters!

Bernie Sanders is pretty worried about how artificial intelligence might take away jobs. He thinks about what people will do with their time if they don’t have the work they used to count on. He talked with Joe Rogan on a podcast about this big change. Joe asked him what happens when AI takes jobs and all we get is a check from the government. It’s hard to know what people will do to feel good about themselves if they aren’t working in the same way they used to.

Bernie mentioned it’s like a big change in how we live. He said our whole history has been about working hard to survive. Now, we might not have to work as much, but figuring out how we find meaning without those jobs is a tough question. It’s not just about falling in love with technology or AI. Bernie thinks we need to make sure folks who lose jobs still have important things like healthcare and education. Changing how long people work each week might help too, according to him.

Even though Bernie isn’t exactly sure what will give people meaning if jobs disappear, he has some ideas about fairness. He wants to take care of people so everyone has a decent way to live, maybe by lowering work hours and giving everyone some basic money. He’s also really keen on making the rich pay more in taxes, especially since he thinks they’re getting more money from this AI stuff. So, even if he’s not sure how to help people find meaning, at least he’s focused on making things fairer.
