WATCH: Basketball Coach Restrained During Expletive-Filled Ejection
Vanderbilt head coach Jerry Stackhouse was restrained by several members of his coaching staff and a police officer following his ejection from this week’s game against VCU.
Tensions mounted during the game’s second half when Vanderbilt player Liam Robbins got a technical foul. Stackhouse, unhappy with the call, yelled at the officials and received two technical fouls — resulting in an automatic ejection from the game.
Videos of the incident show an irate Stackhouse charging toward the referees and screaming “f—k you.” He was escorted to the locker room.
Stackhouse, a two-time NBA All Star, has been Vanderbilt’s head coach since 2019. The team now holds a 3-4 record after losing to VCU.
