  • Taylor is back in Texas jail after probation officials said he didn’t follow court rules.
  • Court records say the probation was revoked over unpaid fines and court-mandated costs.
  • His earlier case stemmed from a 2024 incident involving allegations of assault.

James McCoy Taylor is back in a Texas jail after officials said he failed to follow the rules of his probation. The reality star was previously sentenced for assaulting a college student and keeping her against her will.

Taylor was arrested at the Brazos County Sheriff’s Department on Friday and later released on a bond.

The court revoked his probation because he allegedly failed to pay the full amount of his court-mandated fines.

Original charges stemmed from a 2024 incident where a 19-year-old accused him of physical assault.

Last year, Taylor pleaded guilty to assault causing bodily injury and unlawful restraint.

He was sentenced to 18 months of probation and ordered to take anger management classes.

Court records show the musician still owes several hundred dollars in fines and court costs.

His latest arrest followed a warrant issued when he failed to settle that debt with the state.

Taylor previously denied the allegations during his initial legal battle.

He suggested the claims were an attempt to ruin his life despite the guilty plea.

“I would never hurt anybody,” Taylor stated in a previous interview regarding the case.

“If you want to ruin my life, it always ends up like that… keep it up,” he added at the time.

This is not his first run-in with Texas law enforcement.

He was previously arrested for driving while intoxicated and carrying a weapon while committing a crime.

During that 2022 incident, police found him with an impaired college freshman in his truck.

He eventually served five days in jail for those offenses.
