January 1, A Scheduling Mix-Up Sidelines Browns’ New Coach from NFL Photo

Wyatt’s Take
- Todd Monken missed the NFL group photo after scheduling a haircut at the wrong time.
- The league moved faster than expected, catching him away from the meeting.
- Cleveland’s quarterback battle remains a major storyline heading into 2025.
Monken thought he had more time before the photo. Instead, the NFL gathered early and took the shot without him.
The awkward moment comes as Cleveland sorts out its quarterback situation. Deshaun Watson, Shedeur Sanders, and Dillon Gabriel are all part of the conversation.
He says the reps will not be evenly split.
“I don’t expect the reps to be divided equally,” Monken said on Tuesday.
This points to a clear pecking order emerging in Cleveland. Sanders ended last season on a strong note, while Watson is still working back from a major Achilles injury.
Wyatt Matters
Being prepared matters, whether it is for a photo or a football season. Leaders earn trust when they show up ready and keep the focus on the job ahead.
