The so-called warehouse clubs (Costco, Sam’s Club) are actually a scam. Sure they sell products at a slight discount. However, the products are the “name brand” variety with their high marketing overhead and accompanying high prices. A person can get the same things at other stores, such as Walmart or Kroger, but with the other stores’ private store brands at a much lower price. The argument that the warehouse clubs are best for large quantities like for large families does not make sense either. Just buy the private brand products in large quantities.
