January 1, House CENSURES Rashida Tlaib for BLATANT Anti-Israel Rhetoric

Published

on

The House of Representatives has taken action to censure Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) for her controversial comments regarding the conflict in Israel.

This makes her the second Democratic lawmaker this year to face condemnation from her colleagues.

The resolution to censure Tlaib passed with a vote of 234-188, with 22 Democrats joining Republicans in support of the measure. Only four Republicans voted against it.

The motion to censure Tlaib was filed by Rep. Rich McCormick (R-GA), who aimed to hold her accountable for “promoting false narratives” about the recent attack on Israel by Hamas and allegedly calling for the “destruction of the state of Israel.”

McCormick’s resolution focused specifically on Tlaib’s comments related to the Israel-Palestine conflict, including her remarks blaming Israel for a deadly airstrike at a Christian hospital in Gaza.

Tlaib’s use of the phrase “from the river to the sea” in a video she posted over the weekend also drew criticism.

While she defended it as an “aspirational call for freedom, human rights, and peaceful coexistence,” many pointed out that the phrase has been adopted by the Hamas terrorist group to advocate for the destruction of Israel.

Despite Tlaib’s resistance to censure, accusing her colleagues of diverting attention from the situation in Gaza, the resolution passed with enough votes to take effect.

However, McCormick’s measure did not include a provision that would require Tlaib to stand on the House floor for a public condemnation.

Tlaib responded to the censure by stating, “Rather than acknowledge the voice and perspective of the only Palestinian American in Congress, my colleagues have resorted to distorting my positions in resolutions filled with obvious lies.”

She reiterated her denouncement of violence against civilians by both Hamas and the Israeli government.

The censure of Tlaib highlights the ongoing controversy surrounding the Israel-Palestine conflict and the differing perspectives within Congress.

Why It Matters

The censure of Rep. Rashida Tlaib is a necessary step to hold her accountable for her divisive and misleading comments regarding the conflict in Israel. It is crucial that we condemn politicians who promote false narratives and call for the destruction of a sovereign nation, as Tlaib has done.

By blaming Israel for the recent attack by Hamas and using the phrase “from the river to the sea,” Tlaib has aligned herself with a terrorist group that seeks to wipe Israel off the map. This is not a matter of free speech or differing perspectives; it is a matter of supporting our ally and defending the truth.

The resolution to censure Tlaib demonstrates that there are Democrats who are willing to stand up against the radical elements within their own party. It is heartening to see 22 Democrats join Republicans in supporting this measure.

This censure sends a clear message that promoting falsehoods and advocating for the destruction of a sovereign nation will not be tolerated. It is a reminder that we must prioritize truth and support our allies, especially in the face of ongoing controversy and differing perspectives within Congress.

It’s amazing when citizens don’t kiss the designated butts that the powers that be say, they are anti semantic or not patriotic. These folk are mostly old white racist themselves. Frequently make racist comments and policies. Talk about the dirty pot calling the kettle black.

John, you are one of the reasons that America is in the state it is in. These people that are anti-semantic are causing more problems than not in the resolution of the war in the middle east. I am an old white guy but, I am far from racist. I have many friends from other races that are like family to me. Your attitude is the cause of racial dissention in America, that started dividing America when Obama got into the white house. If you like the anti-semantic ways, then you should go live in the middle east, say Iran or Pakistan, and see if you are really into it. Once you live it, you will finally wake up and smell the coffee and see what is so wrong about it. Please quit calling old folks racists because you are so full of sh*T the white of your eyes are turning brown.

You should watch how you project a point because what you stated makes just as much of a racist as the “old white racists” so I guess that makes you the pot.

No, John they’re Patriots holding non-Patriots accountable.
for their damaging words and actions often bordering on treason.
Which is worse when the offender is a member of our own Congress. Somehow you manage to get racism out of it.
    That alone is divisive.

It all boils down to who started this war. Hamas attacked Israel without provocation. The fight between Israel and Palestine has been going on for many years. Negotiations in the past have been put in place, but were never successful in the long run. The hatred against Israel will never end. That is why Israel will not pull back until their people that are being held hostage are returned. I support Israel totally. The bullies started it and Israel will end this fight, for a while.

Tlaib is an embarrassment in congress, since she is clearly just another useful idiot for the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas and its equally moronic and unthinking followers here. How this woman ever got elected is beyond belief.

Big deal! This is a slap on the hand. Had it been a republican the leftists would have lost their minds and requested death. Frankly, this garbage DOES need to be permanently deported and banned or face the supreme court on trial and face capital punishment for her hate crimes against the jews, the country and its citizens. We don’t need this garbage in this country causing problems or in politics!

She needs to be kicked out of Congress and then sent back to where she came from. She and her gang don’t need our taxpayer dollars.
