January 1, Football Players Robbed Blind During UCLA Game

Published

on

In a shocking act of criminal audacity, University of Colorado football players faced more than just an on-field loss against UCLA.

As the players battled it out on the Rose Bowl turf in Los Angeles, thieves made off with thousands of dollars of jewelry and other prized possessions from their locker room.

Following the 28-16 defeat at the hands of the No. 23 Bruins, the players returned to a ransacked locker room.

UCLA promptly confirmed the breach, stating, “The UCLA athletic department confirmed that a report was filed to the Pasadena Police Department following the UCLA-Colorado football game regarding items that were reportedly missing from the Colorado locker room.”

They added, “UCLA is in communication with law enforcement, Rose Bowl Stadium officials and the University of Colorado on the matter.”

Upon learning of the theft, UCLA’s head coach, Chip Kelly, expressed his disbelief and disappointment, noting, “That’s awful for anybody.”

He further lamented, “You would think that when you go anywhere that your valuables are safe.”

The victims were not silent. A video circulating on social media captured several of the Colorado players discussing their stolen items.

Safety Cam’Ron Silmon-Craig revealed, “I just got mine, bro. I had the jewelry box and everything, bro. They took it off my jewelry box.”

A report by The Denver Post claims that at least five players were targeted in this heinous robbery.

This isn’t an isolated incident in the sports realm. Deion Sanders, Colorado Football coach, faced a similar scare at Jackson State. Recalling the event, Sanders said, “Naw it was stolen but they got it back.”

He detailed the episode, mentioning, “It was stolen out my personal bag in my office and My assistant caught the gentleman in the process of stealing it but she was alone. No Miscommunication my man at all.”

It’s a sad day when athletes, dedicating their efforts on the field, have to worry about their belongings being snatched off it.

Why It Matters

The shocking theft from the University of Colorado’s football players during their game against UCLA isn’t just an isolated incident of crime. It’s a glaring sign of America’s escalating lawlessness, likely fueled by progressive agendas that push for soft-on-crime policies. When athletes, representing their universities with pride, cannot trust the sanctity of their locker rooms, where does that leave ordinary citizens?

Deion Sanders faced a similar audacity at Jackson State, painting a disturbing pattern in our college sports. These athletes put everything on the line, striving for excellence on the field, only to be met with such demoralizing acts off it. And while some may say it’s about material possessions, I argue it’s about principles.

Our arenas and stadiums should be sacred grounds where competition thrives, not opportunistic crime.

This isn’t just about sports; it’s about our values. If we continue to let such incidents slide, endorsing lax security measures and weakened law enforcement, then we are setting a dangerous precedent.

It’s time we get tough on crime, restore respect for private property, and ensure that our athletes, and all Americans, can focus on their passions without fearing for their possessions. America deserves better.

You would think that anyone knows not to let your valuables in a locker unlocked and unwatched. They all know the risk of theft is high. Stop trying to show off with the bling and dress like a normal person going to the gym!
