The tragic cause of death for beloved soap opera star Alec Musser has finally been revealed. At the age of 50, the “All My Children” actor reportedly took his own life in his Del Mar, California, home. According to a report by TMZ, Musser’s fiancée, Paige Press, discovered his body on Saturday.

The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office informed the outlet that Musser died from a self-inflicted shotgun wound to the chest. The report detailed that Press went to bed on Friday evening and awoke the next morning to find the actor slumped on the bathroom floor with the gun nearby.

Press called 911, but when authorities arrived, there was nothing they could do to save him. The press release on Musser’s cause of death comes just days after both Press and his uncle Robert confirmed his sudden passing to TMZ, without elaborating on the cause or circumstances that led to his death.

In a series of Instagram stories, Press shared the heartbreaking news, writing, “My heart is so broken … Today is the worst day of my life. We were so happy,” and adding, “I am never taking off my ring.”

The couple became engaged last year after six years of dating.

Musser, a former model who graced the covers of numerous fitness-oriented publications, began his acting career at 31 when he landed the role of Del Henry in the iconic ABC soap opera. He won the part after triumphing in the second season of the Soapnet original series “I Wanna Be a Soap Star” in 2005. Musser appeared in 43 episodes between 2005 and 2007.

After his time on “All My Children,” the New York native secured roles in hit TV series such as “Road to the Altar,” “Rita Rocks,” and “Desperate Housewives.” In 2010, he landed a role in the Adam Sandler film “Grown Ups.”

Sandler, 57, expressed his grief on Instagram, writing, “I loved this guy. Cannot believe he is gone. Such a wonderful, funny good man. Thinking of Alec Musser and his family and sending all my love. A true great sweetheart of a person.”

The former fitness guru regularly updated his fans on social media, sharing his love for skiing, surfing, his family, and his dogs. In Musser’s final social media post, he can be seen surfing on a hoverboard during sunset, captioning it, “Silhouette by Baja Winter twilight.”

This is some of the most amateurish, witless prose I’ve read in a while. All deaths are “tragic.” And if this actor’s death was a suicide, why doesn’t the author go into why he did the deed? A quote from a friend or family member. There is no story here.

one of the two most popular was to “get the hell OUT of California”. Amerika IS the evil empire today.

Alec’s death is certainly a terrible tragedy.

It is certainly important for all of us to remember that there is a God shaped hole in all of our lives that only the Lord Jesus Christ can fill.
God loves us and He longs for all of us to to receive His Son as our Lord and Saviour. He tells us in His Word “For God so loved the world that He gave us His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

God longs for each of us to open up our hearts and receive His Son by asking Him to forgive our sins and to come into our hearts.
He is the One who can fill up the empty places in our hearts and lives.

Isn’t it at all suspicious that someone shot themself in the CHEST with a SHOTGUN? Has there been an investigation into possible murder?
