  • Pennsylvania Democrat breaks ranks, openly defends Trump’s Lincoln Memorial renovation against party critics
  • Fetterman tells leftists to ‘get over the TDS’ — rare public rebuke of Democrat Trump hysteria
  • Moment highlights growing Democrat fracture as some pols realize constant outrage loses voters

Pennsylvania Democrat Senator John Fetterman appeared to defend the budget for President Donald Trump’s renovation of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool on Tuesday, directly telling critics on the left to “get over the TDS.”

The unexpected defense from a Democrat marks a rare break from party orthodoxy. While most Democrats reflexively attack anything connected to Trump, Fetterman openly criticized his own side’s obsession.

“Get over the TDS,” Fetterman wrote, using the popular shorthand for Trump Derangement Syndrome — the condition where critics oppose Trump regardless of policy substance.

The Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool renovation has drawn fire from Democrats looking for any reason to attack the Trump administration. But Fetterman’s willingness to publicly push back suggests some Democrats recognize the constant outrage strategy has backfired.

Trump’s infrastructure investments have consistently drawn bipartisan support in heartland America, even as coastal elites resist. The Lincoln Memorial project aims to restore one of America’s most iconic monuments.

Fetterman’s comment comes as Democrats face mounting pressure to move beyond resistance politics. Voters increasingly tune out politicians who spend more time attacking Trump than addressing kitchen-table concerns.

The Pennsylvania senator has shown occasional independence from progressive orthodoxy, though he remains aligned with Democrats on most major issues. This latest break may signal growing recognition that non-stop Trump attacks alienate swing voters.

Wyatt Matters

When even a Democrat senator tells his own party to knock off the Trump obsession, you know the constant meltdown strategy isn’t working. Regular Americans care about restoring our monuments and rebuilding our infrastructure — not partisan tantrums every time Trump does something presidential. Maybe more Democrats should focus on actual governing instead of rage-tweeting 24/7.

The Dems pick and choose what they want to hear out of a conversation where Trump’s concerned. They totally “missed” the part when Trump stated that “it was 100% funded by donors, not a penny from taxpayers”. Dems hear, “stop Trump in everything he tries to do”. The WHCD assassination attempt is proof that Trump and any other future American leaders need a secure place to entertain and meet visitors or any other large gathering that needs security. Get over it, Dems!

If the damn pool had a leak in it (so I’ve heard) and the bottom was filthy then why the hell not fix it.
