Clarence Thomas is confirmed to the United States Supreme Court

Good morning Middle Americans!

A lot of people including President Trump have been asking “Where’s Hunter?”. Today we’ll get to hear from the man himself. Hunter Biden, son of former Vice President Joe Biden is sitting down for an exclusive interview with ABC News.  The timing of the interview is suspect, and perplexing to Biden’s 2020 rivals.  The interview will play immediately before tonight’s Democratic debate.

Elsewhere in America, the police officer who shot a woman in her Fort Worth Texas home has been charged with murder. Did you see that video mass-up of President Trump shooting members of the media in the “church of fake news”,  it’s ugly but YouTube says it doesn’t violate its policies. The video is clearly a parody, so this is a win for free speech.

Back to Hunter Biden… We here at Middle America News wonder if the ABC News interview will be credible. Not because of Biden, but because of a hugely embarrassing incident at ABC involving video the network used for a story on Syria. ABC claimed the video was from the Turkish invasion of Syria, turns out it came from a gun range in Kentucky. Whoops.

Also, according the Daily Beast, Joe Biden’s 2020 rivals are perplexed by the move to put Hunter Biden out there, right before the debate.

“I wouldn’t have put Hunter on the air,” former Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell, a top surrogate for Biden, told The Daily Beast. “I think the more you respond, the more you’re playing into Donald Trump.”

Fort Worth Cop Who Shot Woman Faces Murder Charges

(NBC News) – Fort Worth police officer Aaron Dean, who shot and killed Atatiana Jefferson, a 28-year-old black woman, in her own home on Saturday morning, resigned Monday just hours before Interim Police Chief Ed Kraus planned to terminate his employment.

“This man murdered someone. He should be arrested,” Darius Carr, Jefferson’s brother, told reporters.

YouTube: Fake Video of Trump Shooting Media Doesn’t Violate Rules

(CNN) – A fake video that depicts in extremely graphic fashion President Trump attacking and shooting his critics and media outlets does not violate YouTube’s policies against content that incites violence because it is “purely fictional,” the company told CNN Business Monday.

The video, which has been circulating on YouTube and Facebook (FB) for more than a year, came to national prominence on Sunday after The New York Times reported it had been played at a conference held by a pro-Trump group at Trump’s Miami resort last week.

ABC Apologizes for Mistaking Kentucky Gun Range Video for Turkish Bombing of Syria

(Fox News) – ABC issued a correction and apology Monday for reportedly using video from a Kentucky gun range while falsely claiming it depicted a fierce battle between Syrian Kurds and Turkish forces.

The network aired the footage on Sunday night and Monday morning, framing it as battlefield video, when, in fact, it appears to be from a night gun demonstration at the Knob Creek Gun Range in West Point, Kentucky.

The footage first aired on Sunday‘s “World News Tonight” as anchor Tom Llamas claimed it showed a Turkish attack on a group of Kurdish civilians in a Syrian border town.
