January 1, Actor Urges Minnesotans to Save God’s Country at the Ballot Box

Wyatt’s Take
- Josh Duhamel is using his platform to push hard for maximum voter turnout in Minnesota.
- He calls the state ‘God’s country’ and says it is worth saving without telling people exactly who to support.
- Heartland families are hearing a simple message: show up and protect the values that built this nation.
Josh Duhamel took to Instagram with a direct message to Minnesotans.
The actor posted a short video telling people the midterms are coming and every citizen has a duty to vote.
“I just wanted to take a second to remind you that the midterms are coming up. This is such an important, such an important time. We have to get out there. We have to vote. Every single person,” he said.
“Minnesota is my second favorite state in the whole country, right behind North Dakota, but I absolutely love it there. It is God’s country. It is worth saving. It is absolutely worth saving.”
Duhamel stayed away from naming candidates but called voting a sacred duty and a blessing Americans should not waste.
“And it is a blessing that we get to get out there and pick who makes decisions for us,” he added.
“So please, everybody, let’s get 100 percent turnout. Everybody, please, vote in this year’s midterms. Go Viks! Woo!”
In the post caption he urged followers to bring a group to the voting booths on November 3 and to share the message with everyone they know.
Commenters quickly split along party lines.
“Worth saving means vote red. Good man @joshduhamel,” one fan wrote.
“Red red red all down the ballot,” another added.
“Vote RED! Save America.”
Others pushed the opposite view.
“Vote blue save us all!!!! 💙💙💙💙💙.”
“Let’s go blue! Please save our children! 💙”
Duhamel has spent recent years moving away from the California lifestyle.
He sold his Los Angeles home after relocating with his wife Audra Mari and their young son to North Dakota.
The family keeps a cabin in Minnesota where Duhamel says his heart rate drops and his blood pressure falls the moment he arrives.
“I learned that I’d spent too much time sort of luxuriating in the amenities of the modern world and getting out there and having to learn how to do some of the basics that I hadn’t done for so long was really, really good,” he told People.
“It’s one of those places that I go to and I just, my blood pressure drops. I feel at peace. I’m constantly doing something, fixing something, working on something, taking care of the family, pulling the kids on a tube, cooking, all these things that are just basics that we take for granted.”
The actor built the off-grid cabin over fifteen years and sees it as a place to teach his children self-reliance and family values.
“It’s really about family. It’s about legacy,” he said.
Wyatt Matters
Hard-working families across the heartland still believe the simple things matter most: faith, family, and the freedom to vote your conscience without being told how to think.
