January 1, Rep Boebert Asks Why Colleagues Are So Horny Amid Resignations

Wyatt’s Take

  • Lauren Boebert criticized the recent wave of congressional resignations and urged colleagues to turn back to faith.
  • The comments came after Eric Swalwell and Tony Gonzales stepped down amid misconduct allegations and ethics scrutiny.
  • Boebert’s blunt remarks drew attention because of her own past public scandal and harsh criticism of Washington’s culture.

The remarks came just days after Democrat Eric Swalwell and Republican Tony Gonzales both stepped down from their seats. Both men faced mounting pressure regarding allegations of sexual misconduct during their time in office.

Swalwell resigned after multiple women came forward with accusations against him. One former staffer alleged that the congressman engaged in intimate contact when she was unable to give consent.

Meanwhile, Gonzales was facing a House Ethics Committee investigation. That probe looked into claims of preferential treatment and inappropriate conduct related to a staff member.

Boebert herself has faced scrutiny in the past regarding her public behavior during a date at a Denver theater. She previously stated she took full responsibility for that incident and has since moved on from that relationship.

“Yeah, go to church. Find Jesus. Like, why is everybody so horny here?”

The congresswoman delivered the line before walking away from the press gallery. Many in Middle America are likely asking the same question about the lack of standards in Washington.
