Wyatt’s Take

  • Trump says the U.S. and Iran have held productive talks.
  • Planned strikes on Iranian energy targets are delayed for five days.
  • Future military action depends on how the negotiations go.

President Donald Trump announced that the United States is officially at the table with Iran to end Middle East hostilities.

He said the talks have led to a temporary freeze on planned military strikes against Iranian energy targets.

Donald Trump shared the update on Truth Social after two days of intense discussions aimed at a total resolution.

“I am pleased to report that the United States of America, and the country of Iran, have had, over the last two days, very good and productive conversations regarding a complete and total resolution of our hostilities in the Middle East,” Trump stated.

These detailed conversations are expected to continue throughout the week as both sides look for a way forward.

Trump made it clear that while he wants peace, the pause in military action is strictly conditional.

“Based on the tenor and tone of these in depth, detailed, and constructive conversations, witch [sic] will continue throughout the week, I have instructed the Department of War to postpone any and all military strikes against Iranian power plants and energy infrastructure for a five day period, subject to the success of the ongoing meetings and discussions.”

Working families know that Trump prefers using American strength to force a deal rather than sending our sons and daughters into another endless war.

This move puts the ball in Iran’s court to see if they actually want a peaceful future.
