  • Trump says Greenland is key to world safety
  • Sets Davos talk with NATO and European leaders
  • British base handover also under fire

President Trump is pushing hard to make Greenland part of American territory, calling it vital for national and global security. He plans to meet with NATO leaders in Switzerland to press his case as Europe remains unsettled.

“There can be no going back — On that, everyone agrees!”

Trump declared in a Truth Social post, sharing a photo of himself planting an American flag in Greenland.

Trump had a talk with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and agreed to gather with European leaders at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

“Imperative for National and World Security.”

He shared text exchanges from Rutte and French President Emmanuel Macron.

“I do not understand what you are doing on Greenland.”

Trump is reviving the old U.S. dream of adding Greenland, even using tariffs on European holdouts, which has shaken Europe’s leaders and financial markets.

He stressed

“The United States of America is the most powerful Country anywhere on the Globe, by far… We are the only POWER that can ensure PEACE throughout the World.”

Trump also criticized British Prime Minister Keir Starmer for wanting to give Diego Garcia, an island with a key U.S. military base, back to Mauritius. Despite the controversy, America has secured a long-term lease for its base there.
