Wyatt’s Take

  • America was built by people with shared values and culture.
  • Our national motto, “E pluribus unum,” is about unity, not open borders.
  • The U.S. should hold the line against those who refuse to assimilate.

This nation was founded for those who honor its culture and values. It’s not meant for anyone who simply gets here.

The old saying on our coins, “E pluribus unum” — out of many, one — is more than words. It stands for the unity that built America from thirteen colonies to one free country. Congress put those words on our money with “In God We Trust” so we’d never forget their meaning.

“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

Our motto is a tribute to the sacrifices and struggles it took to bring people together under one American way. The founders paid dearly for liberty, and they wanted to protect that with a shared set of beliefs.

Today, some show up looking for handouts, treating America as an easy place to take from, not contribute to. They refuse to blend into our culture and undermine what holds us together.

The hardworking folks who built America didn’t come for freebies; they came to work, fight, and create. We’re not supposed to welcome anyone who takes advantage or brings cultures that clash with our principles.

Instead of pushing for freedom in their own countries, many sneak across our borders and expect to live on our terms while following their own. They’re not carrying the spirit of the Revolution. Weak border policies invite people who don’t want to become Americans in spirit, only in benefits.

Americans can’t stand by while this continues. We have agencies like ICE for a reason — to protect our nation’s culture and keep out those who won’t respect it. If we don’t act, the sacrifices of our founders mean nothing. A nation must say “No” when its freedoms and traditions are threatened.

E pluribus unum — it means unity for those willing to become one of us, not just anyone willing to cross a border.
