Wyatt’s Take

  • Death threats against ICE officers have spiked by 8,000%.
  • DHS blames “sanctuary politicians” and harsh rhetoric for stoking violence.
  • Officials vow ICE will keep defending the law, no matter the dangers.

ICE officers are facing a dangerous new reality as threats against them and their families explode. Department of Homeland Security numbers reveal an 8,000% increase in death threats, making daily work on the frontlines riskier than ever.

Assistant DHS Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said

“From bounties placed on their heads for their murders, threats to their families, stalking, and doxxing online, our officers are experiencing an unprecedented level of violence.”

Many of these threats come with cash bounties and specific attacks on officers’ families, meant to intimidate and disrupt law enforcement.

McLaughlin also said

“sanctuary politicians”

have fueled these dangers with harsh language and comparisons to the Nazi Gestapo, further putting officers at risk.

One example happened in Dallas where a man living in the U.S. illegally was arrested after he allegedly offered $10,000 for someone to kill an ICE agent in a TikTok post.

In Texas, an ICE officer’s spouse received a threatening call, targeting them for their connection to the agency and saying

“Did you hear what happened to the Nazis after World War II? Because it’s what’s going to happen to your family.”

Other threats include a voicemail hoping ICE agents get exposed or attacked, and a Facebook post from Washington state where a man said he’d make ICE agents’ lives

“harder”

and called them

“Nazis.”

DHS officials are pushing back hard, promising that anyone who harms or threatens officers will face the full force of the law.

A DHS statement summed it up:

“ICE and our federal law enforcement partners will continue to enforce the law. And if you lay a hand on a law enforcement officer, you will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

Working men and women deserve to know that the people protecting our borders are under attack like never before.

When elected officials fail to stand up for law enforcement, it sends a message that violence is tolerated—something no law-abiding American should accept.

Supporting those who protect our communities is a bedrock value in Middle America. Threats against law enforcement aren’t just attacks on officers—they’re attacks on our safety and way of life.
