January 1, Trump Pushes Near Historic Middle East Peace
Wyatt’s Take
- Trump claims real peace in the Middle East is within reach.
- Hamas agrees to talks and releasing hostages after Trump’s push.
- Key Arab nations helped broker the deal as Trump urges Israel to pause strikes.
President Trump says his team is making real progress toward peace after Hamas agreed to begin talks. Trump praised countries like Qatar, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia for helping bring Hamas and Israel toward the table.
“I want to thank the countries that helped me put this together: Qatar, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, and so many others,” Trump said. “This is a big day. We’ll see how it all turns out. We have to get the final word down and concrete.”
Trump hopes to see hostages returned home and called the day “special” for the whole region. He reminded everyone how hard many nations worked together.
“Everybody was unified in wanting this war to end and seeing peace in the Middle East, and we’re very close to achieving that. Thank you all, and everybody will be treated fairly,” he explained.
Earlier, Trump gave Hamas a Sunday evening deadline to accept his offer. “If this LAST CHANCE agreement is not reached, all HELL, like no one has ever seen before, will break out against Hamas,” he warned.
Trump called out Hamas for its violence and pointed to the October 7th massacre in Israel. He said over 25,000 Hamas “soldiers” have already been killed as Israel responded.
Trump said, “We know where and who you are, and you will be hunted down, and killed. I am asking that all innocent Palestinians immediately leave this area of potentially great future death for safer parts of Gaza.”
The deal aims to spare any remaining Hamas fighters and finally bring lasting stability. Trump said, “We will have PEACE in the Middle East one way or the other. The violence and bloodshed will stop. RELEASES THE HOSTAGES, ALL OF THEM, INCLUDING THE BODIES OF THOSE THAT ARE DEAD, NOW!”
Hamas later agreed to release the hostages and enter peace talks as outlined in Trump’s plan. They said they’re prepared to negotiate with help from mediators and even to turn Gaza over to a neutral Palestinian body.
After Hamas’s announcement, Trump urged Israel to stop its bombing campaign, arguing, “Israel must immediately stop the bombing of Gaza, so that we can get the Hostages out safely and quickly! Right now, it’s far too dangerous to do that.”
He stressed this is about more than just Gaza—it’s about lasting peace for the whole Middle East. Americans are now watching to see if this fragile promise turns into real safety and freedom for families on both sides.
