January 1, Federal Employee Struggles with Increased Workload Due to Trump’s Orders

Published

on

A paralegal at the Department of Justice is upset because President Donald Trump signed an order to get federal workers back in offices. She says it’s hard to do her job because people are talking too much at work.

Trump wants federal employees to work in the office all week to make things run better. But this paralegal, Kaitlin Kons, says people in the office are chatting too much about all the new changes, and it’s hard to focus on work. She thinks all the memos and new rules are confusing and make it harder to do her job.

Kons also complains about another Trump order that stops diversity, equity, and inclusion, or DEI efforts. She seems to think it’s unfair that federal workers have to follow new rules that aren’t related to their job.

Kaitlin works at the DOJ and also runs a business that offers styling services for weddings, especially for queer women and non-binary people.

Meanwhile, Republican Senator Joni Ernst is doing something about all this telework business. She made a report on how telework affects the government. The report talks about how working from home changed pay and left office buildings empty, which isn’t good for the work environment.

Sen. Ernst and others are trying to make sure federal workers are at their desks, doing their jobs, and earning their pay fairly. It’s important work to keep our government running smoothly.

Wyatt Matters!

Working from the office can be challenging, especially with all the chatter about new changes and orders. It’s hard to concentrate when colleagues are constantly talking about what’s happening at work. With new rules and memos coming out often, figuring out what’s going on and how to follow them can be tough. It’s not easy to focus and get work done when there’s so much going on around you.

There’s also the issue of new policies that seem unrelated to the job, like stopping efforts for diversity, equity, and inclusion. These efforts are important for making workplaces fair and welcoming for everyone. Changing these rules suddenly feels unfair. It feels like these changes don’t take into account the needs and voices of many people who work hard every day.

It’s not just about being in the office; it’s about making sure everyone can do their job well and feels respected and valued. Everyone wants to do their best and be judged fairly for their work. Understanding what helps employees work better and feel appreciated is key to making the government run smoothly and effectively.

Dei: didn’t earn it. It’s about being qualified for the job. Not because of your gender. If you can’t handle the work? Then quit. Taxpayers are tired of paying for empty buildings. Or you working at home sipping your latte. And who knows if you are even working. If your feelings are hurt, to bad. You will get the same thing in a civilian job, cupcakes.

If you are unable to work because of the chitchat, talk to your boss. I believe you have too many jobs, one should go. You should be working in an office not from home, our tax dollars should not be used to benefit you but to get the job done. If you kept up with your job in the first place you wouldn’t have difficulty getting back into the workplace. Homes are not without their own distractions. Enough whining, get back to work or quit if it’s too much!

Poor babies let’s have a pity party for them. They should be working 60 hours a week, the general public is so weak today they can’t even work 40 hours anymore. My wife and I worked two jobs for a lot of years even when she worked for the government . I worked at least 60 hours a week my whole life even when I work for other people and then when I opened my own business it was more like 70 hours every week, at least.

I can see and agree with existing comments,f you want sympathy look it dictionary. As for complaining about your job consider doing in public sector where most people have to work and often with less.

It is a poor manager that allows all the chitchat in the office. If they are talking too much, they don’t have enough work to do. If the complaint is too much work, it needs to be divided to the talkers. This, however, is probably an individual who did much of her 2nd job at home when she should have concentrated on her first job…or quit and just do her 2nd job at home. Another problem is that people just don’t want to work, but they want the money. They have been spoiled by lax work ethics being allowed. In order to change and be productive, the mind set in our education system needs to change. I will be honest, I would have been a horrible “at home” worker. Too many distractions of what was needed done there. I spent 21 years in an office doing my job and tuning out all the chatters. It can be done. Get a noise cancelling headset!

There is no office you are outside in the heat rain ice snow whatever you have to do or your ass is on the road fired. And for what anywhere from 5 to 10 dollars and hr when it takes all of it to pay bills.these people complain about the pay they get I’ll bet they make over 100 thousand dollars a year. Well I’ve never made over 30 thousand a year and broke my body for 45 years so they can drive their car and trucks and boats but I did it if they can’t do their jobs then hire someone else that’s what would happen in oilfield your ass would be on the street.bye bye.

I will have to agree with all of the above comments! You all are right on. It truly is so sad, the young generation of today, doesn’t have a clue what work is all about. They also don’t know what compassion, respect, dedication, true responsibility of obligation of any duty pertaining to work habits. I was flabbergasted when I read about these college students, needed therapy, because of the election of our current president??? Give this old timer a break! Wake up kids, you don’t need cookies and toys to comfort you. Grow up, if you can. Get off your stupid cell phone, and your butt, and contribute like the rest of us did, all our lives. This life isn’t a FREE Trip. Do your share. I truly hope you get it, but you sure won’t in college. They want to keep you stupid, and it seems they are doing a good job of it. Wake up before it’s too late.

Any one , such as Kaitlyn who has a side business need to either resign on or another. The office jobs is without a doubt the least of her thinking while paying the freight for both. Terminate her and bring in one who wishes to have a job.
