January 1, Ramaswamy Targets Bureaucracy Overhaul with Ambitious Plan
Vivek Ramaswamy, who’s gonna help lead the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), talked to Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo on “Sunday Morning Futures.” He’s got a plan to cut costs in the government by using executive action, getting ready for Congress to step in too.
He said that the government’s not really run by the people we vote for, but by unelected folks in the bureaucracy, and that needs fixing. The Supreme Court has shown that many of the regulations are unconstitutional, so he wants to get rid of them and shrink this administrative state, all through executive power.
Ramaswamy promises big changes, fast! Earlier this month, Donald Trump, who’s set to be President again, picked Ramaswamy and Elon Musk to figure out how to trim government fat and rethink federal agencies.
Since DOGE isn’t an official government branch, neither Ramaswamy nor Musk are cabinet members or government workers. They have until July 4, 2026, the big 250th birthday of our Declaration of Independence, to finish their work.
The changes they’ll make first with executive actions are supposed to set the stage for Congress to make bigger cuts to the budget.
“This is about bringing back real decision-making power to the American people. If leaders mess up, voters can kick them out. Most of the folks making big choices today in areas like health care or defense don’t have to answer to anyone. But thanks to the Supreme Court, we can start changing that quickly,” Ramaswamy said.
After Trump picked him, Ramaswamy decided not to run for the Ohio Senate seat that JD Vance left to become Vice President.
Ramaswamy and Musk backed Trump during his campaign in 2024, helping him win those important states. They were right there with Trump and his other supporters at UFC 309 in New York City.
Trump beat Kamala Harris in a huge victory, winning all seven swing states.
Wyatt Matters!
Big changes are on the way for our government. There’s a plan to make it run better and cost less. The government makes lots of rules, but many of them don’t come from people we choose. Instead, they’re made by other folks who aren’t elected. Vivek Ramaswamy, picked by Donald Trump, wants to fix this. The Supreme Court says some of these rules are against the law, and Ramaswamy wants to use executive power to change them quickly. This change means that the people we vote for will have more power, and we can hold them responsible.
Ramaswamy and Elon Musk are working on a big project. Even though they’re not official parts of the government, they have a special job. They want to make the government smaller and better by July 4, 2026. First, they’ll start by using executive actions to make some changes. Then, they’ll set things up so Congress can make even bigger changes. The goal is to save money and make sure more decisions are in the hands of the people we vote for.
This is all about giving power back to the American people. When people in charge make mistakes, we should be able to vote them out. Right now, lots of important decisions are made by people who don’t have to answer to us. Thanks to the Supreme Court, we can start changing that. With these changes, the government will be more fair and listen to the will of the people. Everyone’s voice will count more in how our country is run.

Good !
I trust them to make a big difference in government spending and bureaucracy. I’m counting on them to use a lot of not-so-common sense and some definite outside the box thinking !
Have at it !
