January 1, Biden’s Gaffe Machine in Overdrive: Flubs Constitution, Walks Off Set on Live TV

ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY…
1803: The Louisiana Purchase is announced to the American people by President Thomas Jefferson.

  • President Joe Biden committed multiple public gaffes in a recent MSNBC interview, including confusing the Declaration of Independence with the Constitution and repeatedly referring to Iraq instead of Ukraine when discussing international conflict.
  • Biden walked off the set before the interview was officially concluded, reinforcing perceptions of his unsteady leadership and ongoing issues with public blunders.
  • Despite his public missteps, Biden is running for re-election. If successful, he would be 86 years old at the end of his second term, making him the oldest president in U.S. history.

President Joe Biden, already well-known for his gaffes, has added a fresh crop of missteps to his growing list of public blunders.

In a recent MSNBC interview with Nicolle Wallace, the President made erroneous references to both the Constitution and Iraq, raising eyebrows among conservative viewers.

While quoting the Declaration of Independence, Biden mistakenly implied that he was referencing the Constitution.

This error, though seemingly minor, casts a shadow of doubt on the President’s grasp of two of the nation’s most important documents.

It begs the question: If he confuses these fundamental texts, what else might he be misunderstanding?

Biden’s geographical mix-ups have also become a cause for concern.

On multiple occasions, the President has incorrectly referred to “Iraq” when discussing the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

These gaffes were so significant that White House officials had to amend the official transcript to reflect the accurate country.

These instances reveal more than just a slip of the tongue; they suggest a worrying lack of clarity on global affairs from the highest office in the land.

To cap off the MSNBC interview, Biden seemed to forget the camera was still rolling and walked off the set before the show went to a commercial break.

This premature departure was viewed as yet another example of the President’s seeming disorientation, reinforcing perceptions of his unsteady leadership.

In the same interview, Biden expressed disagreement with a recent Supreme Court decision ruling against racial considerations in college admissions.

He also voiced his opposition to expanding the U.S. Supreme Court, citing concerns of politicizing the body.

His stance on these issues could further deepen the ideological divide as the 2024 election season heats up.

Bottom Line

Despite these missteps, Biden is currently seeking re-election. If he is successful in securing the Democratic presidential nomination and wins the 2024 general election, he would be 86 by the end of his second term.

This would make him the oldest president in U.S. history, a point of contention for those who believe his age may be contributing to his frequent gaffes.

Biden’s competition in the Democratic presidential primary includes Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Marianne Williamson, while former President Donald Trump leads the GOP primary contenders.

This raises the possibility of a Biden vs. Trump rematch, which could potentially see these gaffes playing a significant role in shaping the election narrative.

Some readers should remember that they too are rapidly approaching those “golden years of life” we all hear about! Just as we finally believe “we understand understand it all”, those younger and less experienced in life rise up to tell us we have it “ALL WRONG!” We may be forced to keep our opinions to our selves but that dose not mean that we are not in the end right. The aged have much wisdom to say to those who will listen and are not blinded by current and untested opinions! Dan M.
