January 1, Shooting at Texas Elementary School Claims At Least 15 Lives
At least 14 students and one teacher are dead after a shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas.
Gov. Greg Abbott (R) identified the gunman as 18-year-old Salvador Ramos.
“He shot and killed — horrifically, incomprehensibly — 14 students, and killed a teacher,” Abbott said, adding that Ramos “is deceased and is believed that responding officers killed him.”
The ages and names of the victims were not immediately released.
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) tweeted: “Heidi & I are fervently lifting up in prayer the children and families in the horrific shooting in Uvalde. We are in close contact with local officials, but the precise details are still unfolding. Thank you to heroic law enforcement & first responders for acting so swiftly.”
Rep. Veronica Escobar (D-TX) promptly blamed lawmakers, saying that school shootings are “unfortunately, an American problem that it seems many lawmakers refuse to solve.”
“The problem is that firearm homicides have increased 40 percent for people between the ages of 10 and 24-years-old in America. Those are the stats for 2020. It’s unacceptable and I can’t believe lawmakers refuse to act,” Escobar told CNN.
Several Democrats condemned Congress for its inaction on guns, which Cruz quickly addressed.
“Inevitably, when there’s a murderer of this kind, you see politicians try to politicize it, you see Democrats and a lot of folks in the media whose immediate solution is to try to restrict the constitutional rights of law-abiding citizens,” Cruz told reporters. “We know what does prevent crime, which is going after felons and fugitives and those with serious mental illness.”

This has been an unbelievably horrific tragedy. I am deeply saddened by the senselessness of it all.
We do indeed, though, need prayer and much of it, for this Nation to repent and return to the Lord God. You can diss me all you want, but believe it or not, there IS a GOD and HE does have the last say. HE PROMISES the “blessed is the Nation whose God is the Lord”. HE also outlines the tragic consequences of those that turn their backs on Him, and deny the Truth of His Word, kick Him out of schools, government, society, well everything, choosing instead to go their own ways and make up their own rules as the ultimate that ALL of us must follow and to which we must acquiesce and believe and obey….or we are labeled as “domestic terrorists”. HE is a Gentleman and when we raised our fists to Him and said “GET OUT”, well He did just that. So now we have no one to blame but OURSELVES!! We wanted to take over His Place & put ourselves and selfish, carnal desires above Him, so like it or not, WE ARE SUFFERING THE CONSEQUENCES and drowning in our own cesspool. I am referring to the whole despicable mess the Country is in across the board; not only the shooting tragedies.
Look at “what” and “who” are in control of the central government now, and the utter disaster that we have been living for the past 1 1\2 years. Can any of you who are bashing your “opposition” brag about ANYTHING at all that is “GOOD” about this current illegal and mostly Godless administration? I’m almost 80 and can hardly believe what I am seeing first hand unfold DAILY before our eyes.
And watching “1984” and “Animal Farm” play out in real time, real life. It is following The Scriptures & Prophecies therein, to a “T”…..It is so very true that History does repeat itself…and mostly we never learn from it. What we are seeing now, just about exactly parallels Israel in the Old Testament when they turned their backs on God & served other gods (sex, being the primary one, just like now).
And speaking of “domestic terrorists”, WHERE was the outcry, anguish, anger, tears, and demand for action during that wonderful “Summer of Love”, and “peaceful protests” by the blm/antifa, in which they burnt, murdered, raped, destroyed our cities and those living in them????? And even those in “high authority”,(as in the dimocrat govt itself sided with them, bailed them out, defunded police, and even egged them on & supported them.
Lord, please forgive us, have mercy, and save America.
